Feb 23, 2003 To some, temporary agencies are the best option when searching for your dream job; but there are some drawbacks to it. For example, when I had graduated from a local business college, I was told not to rule out temporary agencies because they are the absolute best source for finding a job in business. After my experiences with temporary agencies, all that I can say is ; don't get your hopes up. My personal opinion, it is all a big joke. Sure they get you all fired up about how great they are and that you will be working at some bank typing business letters and what have not, but the truth is ; is that you will only be opening envelopes. Then, there are two maybe three months of waiting for a phone call that they have a job for you and that you need to come on down to the office so that they can let you know of where the job is. When you get there, they drop the bomb and tell you that the job had "just" been filled, or the job is with some packaging plant and that you will be lifting heavy boxes. Excuse me, but I applied with your company to type business letters and other office work!! As you can tell, I have had a pretty wild time with trying to get an office job. Been going around with this since November of 1999. That is why I now have a home typing thing going on. Looking for some typing assignments. In case there are any people who need some typing stuff done, please feel free to contact me.
