Jesse Ventura States Religion Is For The Weak
Dec 10, 2002

I am sure everyone has heard of the colorful, boastful, and proud Governor Jesse Ventura of the state of Minnesota. For those who do not know about his background let me give you a few details about this American politican.

In his early years he served America as a Navy Seal. Soon after his military career he became an American institution as a professional wrestler, with Vince McMahon's WWF organization. Ventura made a name for himself in the phoney sport of professional wrestling, as a bad guy with a big mouth who won most of his carefully planned bouts. He later became a wrestler and football commentator when he realized it was time for a career change from the phoney sports and entertainment scene.

He even starred in a few major Hollywood movies but never had the looks or personality to be a real actor. Mind you, asking a wrestler to act is like asking a politican not to lie. You can't trust either one.

In 1998 Ventura shocked America and the wrestling world by becoming the first professional wrestler to be elected as a governor in America. Most people laughed when they heard of it thinking it was a joke but this was no joke. Apparently Jesse had a real interest in politics for some time, even becoming a mayor of a city in Minnesota. I won't mention the city as they are sorry for ever having elected a wrestler and making a star out of him.

He became the first Reform Party candidate to win a seat as governor. This was the same party that was created by billionaire, money man, Ross Perot who ran as a candidate for the Presidency and lost. The Reform Party tried to stay away from issues such as abortion, gay rights and drugs, instead focusing on conservative economic issues. But as we shall soon see Governor Jesse Ventura was anything but conservative in politics or lifestyle.

It was not long after his election as governor that he was being interviewed on television and radio as everyone was interested in the wrestler turned governor, on his outlook on the American political system and the issues of the day. We soon learned that he supported very liberal issues something that was unheard of in the Reform Party.

In an interview published by carnal, liberal and promoter of sexual sin and behaviour, Playboy Magazine, Governor Jesse Ventura expressed his desire that America should consider legalizing prostitution and remove laws against many illegal drugs such as marijuana better known as pot. What was even more disturbing was his totally shocking views on Christian believers.

The governor stated, "organized religion is a sham and a crutch for weak-minded people who need strength in numbers". He further commented that organized religion "tells people to go out and stick their noses in other people's business." (Does this mean Mr. Ventura can state his opinion but Christians cannot?) Well the Christians knew where they stood in the eyes of the good governor of Minnesota. This was a wake up call to America to this goat in sheep's clothing. Ventura's spokesman John Wodele further stated that the wrestler or I mean governor (I get both titles confused at times.....as we all do) was in fact expressing his opinions about the "extremists of the religious right."

Mr. Wodele further stated that the religious right is intolerant and "the governor cannot stand intolerance." Well I think it is time for Mr. Ventura to wake up to reality and study the history of America's Founding Fathers and the covenant that was made between God and America by the pilgrims on the Mayflower. Isn't it odd the pilgrims who fled religious persecution, from England, who came to America for freedom are now ridiculed as being extremist and intolerant.

Apparently Jesse Ventura and others of his kind indeed ignore the laws of God. For God who is merciful does not tolerate sin in his holy presence. To attack Christians is to attack the Lord Jesus Christ. For as born again believers we are part of Christ's body. Righteousness will overcome people like Mr. Ventura for look at him now? Some had thought he would run for Governor again or possibly even for the Presidency of the United States in a future election but such is not the case.

Some may wonder why Governor Jesse Ventura never ran for a second term in office, but the answer is in the bible. "Lift not up your horn on high (the proud will fall): speak not with a stiff neck. (Perhaps Mr. Ventura would be wise to read this)For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. Psalm 75:5-7.

The now former governor has lost his position of power not because he chose not to run for office but God chose he did not need such as weak- minded reprobate who was intolerant of Christian believers. We all pray that he finds the Lord before he meets God or he will surely learn how intolerant God is towards sin.
