Nov 20, 2003 If Canadians had their way, sniper mastermind, John Allen Muhammad, the Washington D. C. murderer would probably be in a minimum security prison watching sports and drinking beer all day long. A recent poll in Canada had 43% in favor of the death penalty and 57% opposed. Canadians have now become a bunch of weak kneed, peace activists when it comes to the death penalty. Yet they have no quams murdering millions of aborted babies. How apalling when a homicidal maniac has more rights and privileges than an unborn innocent baby. What kind of sick and depraved nation Canada has become. Whether a politician, well-known sports celebrity or police officer is murdered in Canada the victim's family receives no justice. When a methodical, cold calculated killer is freed from the death penalty it is a total mockery of the Canadian justice system and all Biblical values. The problem is that Canada banned the death penalty years ago. Today a killer might get 5 to 10 years at the most in Canada. When a murderer can get off this easy he will simply murder again and again. Some justice system! What we need today in Canada is to bring back the rope and have public outdoor hangings like we did in the 1800's where families would go watch justice carried out. This was a reminder to all those that opposed the law that they would die by the law. Nothing cures criminals quicker than a high tree and a short piece of rope. One thing is certain the murderer will never kill again. Isn't that what real justice is for? For most conservative Christians with morals they should be ashamed for voting in politicians that refuse to bring back the death penalty. When you look at who is running the country you can understand why our justice system is in such a mess. For most of the last half of the 20th century Canada has been controlled by corrupt politicians from the Federal Liberal Party of Canada. To keep themselves in power they have relied on the immigrant vote. The Liberals have a wide open immigration policy that they will let any foreigner into the country that screams "human rights." The death penalty is the most humane treatment that any murderer can receive for his sins against society. I say it is time to bring back the rope in Canada, otherwise real democracy and justice means nothing.
