And so the lies are piling up, and with them the bodies of American Soldiers, the lives of the unemployed and disadvantaged and the credibility of the United States as represented by our elected leaders. Of course, Mr. Mariani will be the first to point out that the current troubles facing the Bush Administration are all the scurrilous fabrication of the 'Liberal-Demoncrat Media' and that "Anyone with a single functioning brain cell can clearly see this is a prime example of Democrat partisan attack politics and revisionist history at its very worst." Much Ado About Nothing, Again.

By the way, you're welcome Joe, I saved you the trouble of dropping me another patronizing little missive on e-mail.

The problem is, Joe, that more and more people with more than one functioning brain cell are really beginning to wonder just how far the Bush Administration went in order to justify it's case for invading Iraq, and about what the actual motives were for this invasion. While our president did take great pains to mention Saddam Hussein's name in conjunction with the 9/11 attacks in his Address to the nation, thus trying to establish a definitive link between the two (9/11 and Hussein), there has been no evidence to back up this assertion. None of the 9/11 terrorists were Iraqis, but 9 of them were Saudi citizens. Strangely, Bush and his Oil-soaked cabinet have completely ignored the obvious connections to Oil Rich Saudi Arabia's involvement in the 9/11 attacks.

Sorry, Joe, I'm sure that this, too, is just an overblown coincidence that has been manufactured by the Liberal Media to twist the American Public's mind.

Oh yeah, and all those chemical weapons and that seething nuclear arms development program that we know that Saddam and Iraq had festering away behind their closed up borders...you remember those don't you Joe, they were the ones that the UN inspectors couldn't find in 8 years of searching A LOT of people who DO have at least one brain cell. And now that all the shrill, uber-patriotic conservative bombast is quieting down, we (who have those brain cells) are using them to examine just how far our leaders have gone to deceive us in order to carry out their own personal agenda.

There's a lot of time to think between now and November 2004. Even with only one brain cell.
