May 10, 2004 The government in this country is no longer about freedom of speech. It's more about damage control. Our government went to Iraq with out a clue and used citizen soldier who had one weekend a month and a two week camp to learn to be soldiers before being sent to war. With people like Howard Stern being told to shut-up and a bunch of boring Evangical Christians screaming about the faux pas of Janet Jackson while hyped by the R-rated Passion of Christ, the US is more like a festering sore than the home of the free. Has the President started a religious war? I hope not but where are the saner minds? I wonder if he hears a voice in his head or many voices in his head? I think he's a little too pathetic to be real. And I hope someone saves us from the disease of ignorant fervent fanaticism of "making" Armaggedon a reality. Or in the case of the US, a reality television show, via the television media. So let's guess. IF we vote in the other guy, does it make any difference? To you and to me? Us in our cracker box houses with bills and dentists and gas to expensive to buy? Probably not. Why vote? Or why not vote? Let's not rush into where angels fear to tread. The cat's got a hairball.
