Apr 12, 2004 Well, it looks as though that wonderful religion of “peace” has showed it’s true colors once again. They have taken Westerners and others hostage, and threatened to murder them unless their demands are met. It amazes me that they prefer to pick on innocent civilians that are over there to help them try to rebuild their country, bring them out of the 14th century and into the 21st, like the rest of us are.. They found out that they can attack US and allied troops by ambush, sneak attacks and RPGs from a safe distance, but also discovered that our troops are willing and able to shoot back, so I guess they figured the safer route is to kidnap innocent people that are there trying to help them, after all, the hostages are most likely unarmed non combatants. Much easier and safer targets for the cowards of Islam, they don’t shoot back.. Hans Blix, that great humanitarian and inspector ( doubt he could find a phone book in a phone booth) has stated that he thinks Iraq may have been better off under Saddam’s rule, I suppose he liked the torture chambers, rape rooms, cages for children, and other pleasantries Saddam and his demented sons used to keep the masses quiet and docile. Now, on to the presidential memo Kerry and the loudmouth lawyer was so in a snit about. I read the text of the memo, when it was released today. The vague “threat” stated that Bin Laden wanted to attack the United States. Well, to quote that famous philosopher, Homer, (not that one) Homer Simpson; DUH!!, of course Bin Laden wants to attack the USA, it stands for peace, prosperity and a way of life the average Arab could only dream about. If this nation is so damned evil, why are they coming here in droves, opening businesses, from taxi services to clothing stores, jewelry businesses, real estate firms and of course retail candy/ tobacco and convenience stores? Bin Laden wants to keep the residents of the oil rich nations in fear and poverty by means of fear of religion and threats of dire consequences if they do not adhere to every rule and regulation him and Saddam mandate. The next time I hear an American politician refer to Islam as a “religion of peace”, I’m going to heave my lunch, dinner and whatever else I ingested over the past week. I went to a Baptist Church today, I was born and raised as a Catholic. I was shocked when I walked in the door of the Church. The Minister didn’t threaten to murder me because I was a member of a different religion. He welcomed me as a visitor, and told me he was glad that we came to visit and observe his service. The rest of the congregation welcomed me in the same fashion I was not shunned, required to wear a mask, plot to overthrow the nation I was born and choose to live in. The Minister’s message was about love of God, he did not make judgments about other faiths, not claim that the Baptist Church was the only place to Honor and Worship God, he said you can find God in your own way and that no Church had a direct line to The Lord, and exclusive rights to heaven. I don’t know if I’ll return to that Church, I have to think about it, it may not be what I am looking for, but let me assure you of this, when the Minister came out of the Church to thank me and my family for coming to his service, he welcomed us to return anytime we wanted, but at no time did he threaten to murder me or my family if we chose not to. Enough of that, now let’s return to the cowards that are taking hostages. These people show their “bravery” by wearing masks and hoods, they are sort of like the Iraqi KKK, gutless and moronic, with beliefs of superiority over others who don’t fall to their knees in awe and fear at the very sight or mention of them. When I was growing up we had a different name for them: “Bullies”, you remember them, they are the guys that stole the weaker kids lunch money, pushed them aside in the school halls, thought of themselves as BMOCs, and were generally feared to their faces, but scorned and laughed at behind their backs. Well these lunch money robbers have met their match; it’s called the USA and her allies. President Bush decided that the one initial push (9-11) was enough and made the decision to stand up to the bullies of the world. Sure, we have lost good Military personnel, but as sad as I am about that, this is a job we must do. It’s time the bullies lost their ability to shower the world with fear, and start letting the weaker keep their lunch money. ------------ About the author: Mike Romer is a politically incorrect, disgruntled resident of New Jersey and thinks a lot of people need their heads screwed on properly.
