Feb 23, 2004 Why are we so afraid to call truth the way we see it? Why do we always back up and go into PC mode when discussion centers on the religious faith of radicals and terrorists? Is it some secret that the majority of terrorists are “Islamofacists”? Personally, I believe that term was coined to add that subtle note of PCism so as not to offend Islam. Who speaks for Islam these days? It may be true that a high-ranking mullah spoke at the Hajj and condemned terrorism. We haven’t heard a peep since Ramadan though. It seems even Islam knows the benefit of a PC speech or two. Terence Jeffrey tells us in his Townhall.com article entitled, “Ayatollah 1, First Amendment 0”, about the real blessings of living in a society ruled by Islam. One of the larger voices speaking on behalf of Islam is Ayatollah Sistani. He has become a major obstruction in the path of electoral freedom for the people of Iraq. Since the Shiites have a majority in the country, Mullah Sistani believes the Shiites should rule, and everyone else should just fall in under the Shiites who would use Islam as the sole guide for the rule of law. Mullah Sistani has been labeled a “moderate”, yet in his own writings, Mr. Jeffrey quotes Sistani’s “Contempoary Legal Rulings in Shi’i Law” concerning the punishment for anyone who would slander Islam. “The Ruling upon them is death,” so says Sistani. That does not sound too moderate. What of neighboring Iran? “Apostasy, specifically conversion from Islam, can be punishable by death.” The Mullahs of Iran rule their country with a very iron hand. Iran is considered an extremely repressive, but it is all in the name of Seventh Century Islam, so there aren’t any other Arabic or Islamic states who are trying to tell Iran to come out of their dark ages and into a closer relationship with present times. Saudi Arabia has its brand of Islamic radical. It was the Wahabbist radicals that carried out the destruction of 9/11. We hear very little about that these days but it bears repeating as much as possible. Saudi Arabia also pushed the Sharia form of Islam that holds, “ a conversion by a Muslim to another religion is considered apostasy, a crime punishable by death if the accused does not recant.” American soldiers that were based in Saudi Arabia were not permitted to display any part of their personal faith at any time while stationed there. There is no freedom for any belief system other than Islam in Saudi Arabia. How un-PC is that? Even our good buddy and ally Jordan does not “recognize the legality of such conversions.” If you convert to any other faith in Jordan you face sanction and censure not just from the local Muslim population, but from the government as well. So, who speaks for Islam? It is no secret that Israel is condemned by all Arab nations. It is also no secret that most all Arab states find ways to condemn America for its support of Israel. We have to be allowed to explain the truth about this “Religion of Peace”. There are those who may be moderate Muslims, but there are not enough of those to negotiate with the more strenuous adherents to the religion. The fact is that “fundamentalist” Islam will never be at peace with modernism. Fundamental Islam is the religion of Muhammad, ergo, is the enemy of all religions not based in the teachings of Muhammad. Here’s the other monkey wrench. The One True God of Heaven is the God of the Jews. That is why there will never be peace between any nation ruled by Islam, and the Nation of Israel. So what does that mean? PCism has declared the conflict between Israel and the Nations of Islam a political conflict. I have even been reading things about how Israel was made a state by the graciousness of Great Britain. People actually believe the Palestinians, who started out as a terrorist organization of malcontent Arabs, are the real owners of that entire region. This proves the truism that if speak a lie long enough it will eventually become the truth. The historical truth is that the One True God of Heaven established Israel as His chosen nation and established them in that land long before the first Palestinian terrorist was even born. The world is just going to have to face that fact. Another historical fact the world must face is that Israel is still the chosen nation of the One True God of Heaven and it is how God’s nation is treated by the other nations of the world that determines God’s pleasure of displeasure toward those nations. Someone has not been paying historical attention. Someone has not been reading the history of the true faith. Too many people are sticking their heads into a religion that pretends to be tolerant when it is nothing of the sort. Oh. I can say the same of Christianity. Christianity, of necessity, is intolerant of sin and deceit and false prophets and wooden idols. Christianity, on the other hand, is extremely tolerant of peacemakers and lovers of the True God. It would be important for every man to take his close, hard look at whom is tolerating whom and draw the correct conclusion.
