Feb 15, 2004 The title of the article was, “Ex-CIA officials, Congress seek expansion of leak probe.” I read the article and ended up solving the puzzle for the CIA and Congress. These two entities have been ganging up on the Bush administration and wasting millions of dollars investigating just who it was that leaked the name of Valerie Plame, yes, that’s Plame with an “e”, wife of former ambassador Joseph Wilson, yes, that’s Joseph with a “J”, to Mr. Robert (I am pretending to be a conservative working for CNN) Novak, yes, that’s Novak with a “k”. (Whew!) Gee, let us see if Mr. Michael John McCrae, yes, that’s McCrae with an “M”, can save the government from “A thorough and successful [and very expensive] congressional investigation of this crime.” First, we must arrest Mr. Novak. Why? Well, Novak committed the crime of passing on confidential information that exposed a CIA undercover official. Novak is a criminal. Even Sen. Charles Schumer, yes, that’s Schumer with a “mer”, (D), N.Y. said, “A prosecutor has the responsibility to assure public confidence in criminal investigations, especially those of a serious nature.” I fully agree with that statement. If it was such a serious thing that Novak would publish the name of Ms. Plame, let us get that crud behind bars where he belongs! There is no need for long and drawn out investigations. We have our man already. Let’s arrest him and lock him up for his “serious” crimes. We could probably offer him one chance to “cop a plea” and give up the name of his source. Otherwise, lock him up for as long as the law allows. He has aided and abetted a criminal action. Just because he’s Robert Novak should not make a difference. He committed a “serious crime”. It should not matter that the Clintons, yes, that’s Clintons with an “l” and Al Gore, yes, that’s Gore without the blood, got “byes” for their “serious” crimes. Novak is guilty, guilty, and GUILTY! He splattered Ms. Plame’s name all over the place with no consideration of the illegality of the action. Go get him Senator Schumer! Now, you and I know that will never happen. The demic-rats will force another long investigation because they believe it is really President Bush, yes, that’s Bush with a “B” who called Robert Novak just to besmirch the man who besmirched the President’s Iraq policy. Like a “terrier with a sock”, as a friend of mine once said, the demic-rats will drag this probe into every dark Washington, D.C. hole and alley. They will not rest until they are satisfied they can use the probe to conduct a complete enema of President Bush’s posterior and purge the Republican menace from the shores of America! One more important thing to consider that may be going completely unnoticed. Attorney General John Ashcroft, yes, that’s Ashcroft with an “A”, has removed himself from this whole “probe” thing. He fully understands what is ethical and what is not. In David Limbaugh’s book, “Absolute Power” we were shown how Janet Reno, yes, that’s Reno with an “o”, far from removing herself from investigations into Clinton’s criminality, actually enabled Clinton’s criminality through obstructing investigations and failing to appoint independent investigators when the law clearly called for such actions. Mr. Ashcroft understands “conflict of interest” and “ethics”. Those are two things neither Clinton nor Reno was very familiar with. “Democrats have introduced a resolution that would ask the Bush administration to forward all documents related to the case.” Things like this are really beginning to grind on me. The demic- rats have asked for all kinds of documentation from the Bush administration. They asked for all the September 11th stuff; all Vice president Cheney’s phone records; every memo and e-mail with Valerie Plame’s name in it; all the classified information on Iraq intelligence; and the phone numbers of the President’s charming twin daughters. (Actually my twin sons wanted those.) Sometimes I really think the demic-rats are just flat-out evil, because even when they’ve been given everything they’ve asked for, they’ve gone back up the President’s pants legs for more! All of this is surely Novak’s fault! He broke the law and now must pay the piper. Heck, don’t even offer a plea bargain. Just lock him up as an example to all CNN staff and reporters to stop messing with the federal government. He might have trouble getting face time on T.V., but he could still submit columns from his jail cell. I’m sure his cell buddy would be happy to trade notebook paper for whatever Mr. Novak had that the cell buddy might want. Perhaps after a week with his cell buddy Mr. Novak would be willing to testify to the demic-rat’s investigative “probe”, and save us taxpayers some money. ------------ About the Author: Independent, Conservative, Christian.
