Feb 9, 2004 Conservatism and Christian values and ethics brought about the birth of the civil rights movement. The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, as well as the mandates of God from the Hebrew/Christian Scriptures were the sources of the rally cry for equal justice under the law. One of the outgrowths of that cry was court ordered bussing to achieve more integrated school districts. This was to give the children of the poorer districts the same opportunities as children from more affluent communities. This actually worked for a while. Then came along an influx of liberalism and political correctness. People had to be respected as African-American, Asian American, Native American, Hispanic American, and guess what? Years of success in integration fell off the cliff of “me-too-ism”. Now I read a headline, “Study finds school segregation rising”. Yes, of course, it is rising. We caused that with our marvelous programs in multiculturalism and rewritings of history. Oh! Don’t write that! We might offend two-toed, orange skinned Martians! We have scrubbed great pieces of literature to ensure supposedly offensive words and terms are translated into PC-Speak or not read at all (except, of course anything anti-Christian). History and Social Studies texts are so multicultural now that natural born American children have no clue they are American. There is no American culture. It has been washed away by political correctness run amok. Since there is no “American” culture, groups are forced back to the cultures they were bred from. There is no unity in America anymore. There is plenty of diversity. Diversity in anyone’s book translates to “division” and/or “divisiveness”. This is not a good thing. After September 11th, 2001, there was a groundswell of American pride, and a flash flood of American flags, and a whole lot of singing of God Bless America and the Star Spangled Banner. Toby Keith did us proud with his “Angry American”. I have committed that whole song to memory and would like to “Put a boot up the arse” of a certain ABC newsman. But here are a few other things that have happened since the initial groundswell. Whole groups of people, led by the left-most causes of liberalism have called our President a liar and a war criminal. The ACLU has launched a pogrom against all things valued by the Christian faith in the public arena. Those choosing sexual perversion over morality and truth have pushed aside the righteous in their judicial declarations promoting sodomy, pedophilia and same sex couplings. The flags of pride for God and Country are being torn down, burned and replaced with the flags of atheism, communism and “gay” pride. Is it any wonder why schools are reverting back to segregation? Multiculturalism does not promote all cultures equally. Multiculturalism destroys individualism and promotes the pursuit of the cultures of the past. For Americans, born and bred in America, there is no American culture to identify with. Only the multicultural culture of hate, bitterness and defeat remains. There used to be an American Spirit. One that was not afraid to be “One Nation Under God, Indivisible”. We will never see that again as long as liberalism continues to dictate the values of the American Congress and Courts. There used to be an American culture. The American culture included prayer and bible readings in the public schools. The American culture included whole families of a mother, a father, little Johnny and little Jane. The American culture included Baseball, Hot Dogs and Mom’s Apple Pie. The American culture called you an outcast if you smoked grass, did drugs or were loose with your sexuality. The American culture had poets who wrote of love, not hatred and the death of Jews. The American culture had game shows and variety shows and family shows that, indeed, whole families would watch and enjoy and discuss among themselves without shame. The American culture kept families together; there were divorces; but nowhere near the rates of divorce today. The American culture kept values based in the Bible of Christianity. The core of American justice found its greatest strengths in the pages of scripture. I was born into that culture. No matter where I went in the world, I was an American. My culture is gone. It has been cremated in the fires of liberal hatred. Liberal hatred has told us the Bible is an old book that has no purpose. Liberal hatred has given us “Queer Eyes” to replace the “Andy Griffin Show”. Liberal hatred allows for drugs, and sexual perversion and defamation of religious faith on behalf of multiculturalism’s altar of decadence and shame. Liberalism calls me intolerant, bigoted, homophobic and a danger to society. Why? Because I am not African-American, Asian American, Hispanic American, Native (Indian) American, or any other type of hyphenated multicultural American. I am an American. Liberalism can kiss my big fat American fandango! ------------ About the Author: Independent, Conservative, Christian.
