Oct 14, 2003 Two weeks ago I returned to the United States from Japan. I am a contractor for a corporation that is responsible for the development and distribution of logistical computer systems. Basically, I am a teacher, or a training advisor for these systems. This is not about that however. The flight, which originated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, lasted a good fifteen hours. I went prepared. I enjoy reading while flying long distances. It helps the time go quickly. I purchased three books I had been intending to read for the trip. All three were authored by Ann Coulter: "High Crimes and "Misdemeanors", "Slander" and her latest "Treason". This is not about that however. I suspect that this is about Hillary's book. Why don't I want to read it? Why do I think Ms. Clinton is not worth thirty dollars with a thirty percent discount off cover? I think this is about the truth. I can trust a book by Ann Coulter because she is a proven truth- a-holic. She substantiates everything she writes about. First, if she did not, liberals would be all over her (they are anyway). But Secondly, I believe Ms. Coulter holds herself to a graceously higher standard of truth-telling than many liberals. I do not like to waste money. Notice that I did not purchase "High Crimes" until this trip. That book was first published in 1998, and was greatly concerned with the Clinton impeachment. I did not even know that until I began reading it. Heck, I watched every hour of that process I could as it was unfolding. Ms. Coulter's book brought back a slew of memories. This is not about that however. I want to get back to this "truth" thing. I believe I will not buy the Clinton book because of what I know of this woman. She is an enabler. In 1992, when her husband denied any affair with Gennifer Flowers, Hillary sat like a lump next to Willie Jeff and feigned ignorance of any hanky- panky. Later, we found out it was not just an affair, but one that had encompassed twelve years. I am not going to reiterate everything already published about this because this was also post Paula Jones, post Wanita Broaddrick and post a group of other women who had been raped and manhandled by Willie Jeff. Hillary just sat there and denied knowledge of any of it. She lied. Just like he lied. They lied. That is the record. That is why H.R. Clinton's book holds no value for me. I do not care about the "history" of liars. Heck, her first book (It Takes a Village), turned out to be plagerism. It seems there is no integrity or honesty in Ms. Clinton. Why am I even writing this? Well, the other day I had a waking dream. I dreamed of H.R. Clinton and Willie Jeff. They were celebrating Rush Limbaugh's fall from conservative grace. They were not celebrating together. Ms. Clinton was dancing on a desk with the ghost of Vince Foster. Willie Jeff was dancing on a desk with a bevy of cheerleaders whose team logo I could not decipher. As I stood in a cold sweat, I realized they were celebrating in separate rooms of the White House! The (day)mare was complete! Most people I know want the people they know to speak the truth. When they write, when they talk, it should always be in an attitude of truth. My Mom and Dad were like that. I could trust every word they said. They never lied to me. When I was old enough to understand, they assured me there was no "Santa" or "Easter Bunny", and I was able to trust that too. I have tried very hard to instill that attitude into my five children. I believe truth is never the wrong thing to say. There are times truth may be inappropriate (which is when we should just keep silent), but truth is never the wrong thing to say. There is a lot of speculation in regard to Hillary and a possible run for the Presidency. I don't really believe Ms. Clinton can win the White House if conservatives continue with a voice of reason and truth. We don't need to resort to anything other than truth to defeat the wide left. We don't need anything other than reason to fashion a winning debate against the moderate left. Stick to your guns conservatives!
