Some Quick Notes On The News
Jan 9, 2004

I was very happy to see Lt. Col. Allen West was permitted full retirement and fined only $5000 for his actions in Iraq. It was a testament to loyalty and responsibility that he refused to blame anyone or anything else for his illegal action. What he did saved lives. That’s my bottom line.

I am also happy we are holding the line against North Korea’s demands for unilateral American concessions. Now if we can keep the congressional visitors from slamming America while on North Korean soil, we should continue to do well. (Hillary isn’t going, is she?)

I am sad for Oklahoma State. I am happy for LSU. I really don’t follow college football much though.

I am very satisfied radical Islam sat on its thumbs over the holidays. The “HIGH” threat warning level was a pain, but we survived. It was exceptional to see Libya roll over and play nice too. Osama bin Butthead put out another audiotape. Pretty soon we’ll have enough for a “Greatest Hits” CD. I understand old bin Butthead is upset because nobody is coming up with the checks to replace Hussein’s blood money payments to the Palestinian homicide killers. Hey! Maybe without that money incentive those homicide killings might actually stop?

Britney Spears? Married? Unmarried? OOH! My head hurts.

“Celebrities take pride in making NRA Blacklist”, read the title. Well, at least they can take pride in something as compared to Steve (Crocodile Hunter) Irwin being able to take pride in his comparison with Michael Jackson. (What was he thinking?!)

I finished reading David Limbaugh’s “Persecution”. It was a solid read with well-researched episodes of discrimination against all things Christian in America. Excellent historical research and some paragraphs that made me angry and upset. I’ll be writing about a couple of those. Buy it and read it. The double standards and “PCism” will get your juices flowing. (Can the ACLU be tried for treason?)

For Christmas I got “Legacy – Paying the Price for the Clinton Years” by Rich Lowry. So far, all I can say is that Clinton was no President. Clinton was not a leader. For 8 years, America had a whiney little baby who deferred all decisions to his co-presidential wife while he ran around raising money and raping the occasional unsuspecting admirer. The book is making me very sad, but it is an excellent read through chapter 12.

The woman who “lost” her multi-million dollar lottery ticket is now trying to walk away from her lies. I understand she was going to sue for a piece of the prize but thought better of that when the actual purchaser of the ticket showed up with all the evidence, and the ticket. There are several “Morals” to this story. 1) Always cash in your winnings right away to avoid thieves and Demic-rat tax raisers. 2,3 and 4) Thou shall not steal, covet or bear false witness about someone else’s lottery ticket.

OOH! On the good news front the Afghans approved a new constitution. India and Pakistan are talking again. Successful landing on Mars and Tony Blair pulls a George W. Bush in Iraq! All good news that’s fit to print.

So here I am, yep, back in Hawaii. What a trip though. I flew with a head cold and came very close to rupturing an eardrum. At this writing, the pressure has pretty much subsided. I will never fly sick again. I thought my head was just going to fall off. I am sorry if I’ve disappointed any demic-rats.

Remember those newspapers I was not going to read anymore? Well, I’m reading them. That means I’ll have more to say. But for now I’ll just say, “Aloha”.
