Liberal Stupidity Hath No Bounds
Dec 27, 2003

After reading “Still no mass weapons, no ties to 9/11, no truth” I am convinced Mr. Derrick Z. Jackson of ‘The Boston Globe’ needs an enema. His Op-ed is fraught with irresponsible misrepresentations of fact. (I know, I could have just called them “lies”, but “irresponsible misrepresentations of fact” has a pleasant ring to it, don’t you think?)

I would like to deal with two of these. One is short and the second deals with the final paragraph of Mr. Jackson’s opined, un-factual diatribe. First, the short quote: “No major reason for the war has been proven.”

Egad!

We can see another liberal brain in format mode. This format completely wiping all memory of the USS Cole, the American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center and the murderous assault of September 11th, 2001. Mr. Jackson displays an ignorance of fact. His entire Op-ed completely overlooks the meaning of the War Against terror and narrows it to the improper description of “War on Iraq”. Liberals like Mr. Jackson have a bad habit of mixing up distinctions between “war” and “battle”. Iraq, Mr. Jackson, is only one “battle in the “war” against terrorism. You have only to look at 3000 American coffins to find your “major reason” to go to war.

Now, to Mr. Jackson’s real bone of contention: “With no weapons, no ties and no truth, the capture of Saddam was merely the most massive and irresponsible police raid in modern times. We broke in without a search warrant. Civilian deaths constituted justifiable homicide. America was again above the war. We have taught the next generation that many wrongs equal a right. In arrogance we boasted “We Got Him!” The shame is that we feel none for how we got him. The capture of this dictator, driven by the poison of lies, turned America itself into a dictator.”

This piece of tripe is so foul, I am going to shove a tube down its throat and start the stomach pump before I puke it up naturally.

“With no weapons…” On 10/31/2003, a column by Mark Alexander posted in ‘FairOpinion’ listed the facts of a previous (a full year previous) disclosure that Iraq’s WMD’s were largely transferred to Syria’s Bekaa Valley. Mr. Jackson has not done his homework. Also, we still are trying to search through all of Iraq’s known weapons storage sites. The jury is still out, but Mr. Jackson is emphatic, the administration lied about Saddam’s WMD’s.

“No ties…” [To 9/11]: Again, Mr. Jackson is not paying attention to reality. “Case Closed” is a 16-page Defense Department memorandum, which details some 50 items showing the link between Saddam’s dictatorship, Bin Laden, Mohamed Atta and others. All the links point to Iraqi hands in the 9/11 pie. (Google: “Case Closed” it is the first item, also, “Terror-Tied” by Frank J. Gaffney Jr. in the 11/17 edition of ‘Townhall.com’) I am not a professional journalist and I can find these things. I guess Mr. Jackson does not like homework.

“…the capture of Saddam was merely the most massive and irresponsible police raid in modern times. We broke in without a search warrant.” Ignorance is Mr. Jackson’s bliss. The capture of Saddam is a cake’s icing. The capture of Saddam is proof of liberation, life and freedom being available to all Iraqi’s equally. The capture of Saddam is a historical achievement of validation for the military and intelligence community of the United States. The capture of Saddam was a victory of war. Oh, by the way Mr. Jackson, the “search warrant” reads: “That recalling all previous resolutions”, Baghdad is given “a final opportunity to comply with its disarmament obligations” and its failure to do so will cause Iraq to “face serious consequences”. The warrant was called UN Resolution 1441.

“Civilian deaths constituted justifiable homicide.” Here, Mr. Jackson fully ignores the conduct of the Battle of Iraq. Every conceivable effort was made to avoid collateral damage. Many of the civilians died at the hands of their own countrymen (friendly fire) and at no time were civilians deliberately targeted. Imbedded reporters; especially for the liberal news outlets would have had a field day splashing images like that around. Mr. Jackson also does not care to mention the 400,000 civilians found in Saddam’s mass graves, killed by, OOPS! Saddam Hussein!

“America was again above the law.” Not our law Mr. Jackson. Congress gave the President all the authorization he needed to prosecute the war against terrorism. The President has stayed within the guidelines of the Rules of Warfare in the conduct of military operations. He has conducted hours of diplomacy and discussion prior to every action. If America had acted “above the law” surely the anti-American forces within the United Nations would have called for and garnered a major censure of the US. American law permits the President to protect this country.

“We have taught the next generation that many wrongs equal a right.” No. We hopefully have taught the next generation that when someone declares war against your country, its people, its way of existence, you fight back to maintain your posture in the world. You do not appease your enemies because you will appear weak and vulnerable. You fight! Win or lose, you fight! You make your enemies wish they had never been born! You force their flight, you demand their surrender and you destroy them if they refuse to end their aggression towards you!

“In arrogance we boasted, “We Got Him!” No. Mr. Jackson, in joy, in relief, in victory, we declared a fact of history. There was no arrogance displayed in Mr. Bremer’s words.

“The shame is that we feel none for how we got him.” Again, Mr., Jackson I have to ask, have you no “feelings” for the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi dead by the hands of that murderer? The fact that we took him alive without harm or fight should be something we would rejoice over. The soldiers who dug Saddam, the coward, out of that hole could just have easily thrown a grenade in the hole and had done with it. Their restraint and safekeeping of a murderous dictator is a reason for continued pride in America, because we are not barbarians and cowards and murderers. We are compassionate, protective people with human values that far outstrip those of any other nation in the world.

“The capture of this dictator, driven by the poison of lies, turned America itself into a dictator.” Mr. Jackson, you are a fool and a liar. American troops are not lining up Iraqi citizens near trenches and shooting holes in them to fill up mass graves. We are not imprisoning children; we are educating them in brand new schools, built by us. We are not raping women and torturing the dissenters. The capture of Saddam was driven by the desire to end murder and mayhem in Iraq. The capture of Saddam was to bring peace and closure for the oppressed of Iraq. I am so sorry you are too ignorant and hateful to see all of that Mr. Jackson.

I am equally sorry that the readership of ‘The Boston Globe’ was subjected to the lies (OOPS! I meant “irresponsible misrepresentations of fact”) spouted by Mr. Jackson.

(Hummmm! Jackson, that’s a familiar name.)
