Dec 25, 2003 Well, it didn’t take long for the shine to wear off “Sad-Man Insane’s” capture. Demic-rat Candidate Howard Dean: “ The capture of Saddam has not made America safer…” Demic-rat Representative Jim McDermott, D-Wash: “It’s funny, when they’re having all this trouble, suddenly they have to roll out something.” Romanist Cardinal Martino: “Seeing him like this, a man in his tragedy, despite all the heavy blame he bears, I had a sense of compassion for him.” Ghazi, the Iraqi Dentist: “It’s great that he’s caught, but it wasn’t him that screwed up the petrol and the electricity and everything else so badly…” No. It didn’t take the liberals any time at all to start destroying this incredible moment of victory in the war against terrorism. Now, we all understand Dean is brain-damaged, McDermott’s brain is the size of a pea, the Cardinal is brainwashed by a deep-seated religious desire to be stupid, and Ghazi? Well, Ghazi was quoted while waiting in line for a gallon of gas that he was bemoaning the inflated price of. He really didn’t care about freedom more than he cared about the price he had to pay for gasoline. We can understand the stupidity of his comments in the light of that. I will bet “Reuters” had to search very hard to find a professional like Ghazi, the Dentist. Some of (Baghdad) Jim McDermott’s colleagues tried to blunt his idiocy by calling his words “fantasy” and “ridiculous”. They will not call for his apology as they consider that effort “useless”. Well, how about a CENSURE then guys? The Romanist Cardinal amazes me. He should have kept his mouth shut. He expresses sympathy for a mass murderer and sheds not one thought on behalf of the hundreds of thousands being pulled out of mass graves dug by “a man in his tragedy”. WHAT! HUH! Fortunately Neil Cavuto had the senior official of the American Catholic League on Tuesday night to denounce the Cardinal’s comments as having nothing to do with the way American Catholics feel about this situation. (He was very tactful too…. NOT!) And as Ghazi will never handle my bridgework, Dean will never be my appeasement oriented President. I will discuss Dean more fully in another article. Here, I want to explain the hypocrisy of the comments of the other purveyors of demic-rat hatred toward the Bush administration that happens to be winning the war against terror despite their obstructionism and vitriolic verbal abuse. A Fox News Channel article cites the AP on 16 December: “Retired Army Gen. Wesley Clark, Rep. Dick Gephardt, Sen. John Edwards, Sen. John Kerry and Dean promised that, if elected they would work closely with allies to share the costs and risks of fighting terrorism. They agreed that Saddam’s capture gives Bush a chance to improve tattered relations.” RELATIONS?!…. TATTERED?! Wait a minute! Wait just a doggone minute! We are already sharing the costs and the risks with 60 other nations in a coalition built through a massive diplomatic effort despite opposition and obstruction from the likes of Russia, France and Germany. The only countries not wanting part in the coalition were countries that were openly cowardly, anti-American, or outright enemies who agree that America must be destroyed. (I believe that description covers about two-thirds of the United Nations and almost 45 percent of the United States Senate) The first bomb in a UN facility caused a 600-mile per hour retreat. Who needs those cowards? Heck! The Italians were attacked twice and more than 20 of their valiant people killed or wounded in one day. What was their reaction? Their President held a news conference and told the terrorists flat out that the Italians were not going to be forced out of Iraq! Way to go Italy! When the UN failed in its responsibility to the world community to enforce the first 17 resolutions against Iraq, upon the 17th snub against UN authority the UN decided enough was enough! So they got together to write resolution number 18. Our coalition did the right thing. We forced relevancy on the UN. We attacked to enforce the “serious consequences” measure of Resolution 1441, again, after only 14 months of stalling and diplomatic obstructionism by our so- called allies. “TATTERED RELATIONS” indeed! Ladies and gentlemen, that is a “buzz phrase” for Russia, China, France, Germany and Canada. I ask, who needs them? Fox’s article stated: “In separate addresses, Dean, Edwards and Clark also took aim at Bush by saying the United States must pay more attention to al Qaeda…..all three suggested that the illicit spread of nuclear weaponry is a greater threat to the United States than Saddam ever was.” Gentlemen, al-Qaeda is on the run. Al-Qaeda has not been successful in the US since September 11th, 2001. They’ve been forced underground and “Bin Butthead” gets paler every day for want of direct sunlight. That battle has not stopped since day one. Stopping Saddam’s nuclear ambitions is a battle won. The battle over Iran and North Korea’s nuclear weapons programs is being waged at the tables of diplomacy. If that fails, there will certainly be more direct combat. We do not have to “triple the funding to secure Russia’s nuclear arsenal”. With their improving economy and the current level of support, Russia is perfectly capable of completing that task. Howard Dean gave a speech to the “Pacific Council” the other day. He said many things. Mostly? Dumb things. In another article I intend to deal with the mean things and the spoken lies. I am hoping Dean wins the demic-rat nomination. I believe a Bush/Dean contest will give a whole new meaning to the term “landslide”. I really don’t want to believe there is that many evil and ignorant people in the world that would choose Dean over…..say…..well, never mind. When you boil down all the liberal crap, capturing Saddam was no big deal. What is really important to the liberals is making President Bush look as bad as Saddam looked on his day of surrender. ------------ About the Author: Independent, Conservative, Christian.
