What The Fence Is For
Dec 15, 2003

I am a homeowner. When I first bought my property I was told I could not erect a fence because my property was still considered protected marshland and wildlife refuge. O.K. No fence. After several years and a redefinition of the property I was permitted a fence.

The fence served several roles. First, it gave my five children a safe place to play without the worry of cars or strangers interrupting and endangering them. The fence also served to keep out the larger neighborhood animals. This enabled us to keep our brood of breeding rabbits safe and secure. I could have a garden too. It was protected from the wild rabbits and the wild children looking for a quick, free snack. The fence was a good thing, serving a valuable purpose.

The nation of Israel is building a fence. They are building a fence to protect their children, their property and their gardens. The world is yelling at Israel to stop building this fence because it is upsetting the Palestinians.

Yep. These are the same upset Palestinians who keep strapping bombs on their sons and daughters and keep walking through the unfenced areas of Israel and keep blowing up innocent people who just want to live in peace..

Israel must continue building its fence. It must ignore what the world is saying. Why? Because no matter what anyone else is saying, the Palestinians will not stop until every Jew is either dead or evicted from the land the Palestinians say is theirs. Arafat has just put in place a new group of radical puppets more to his liking, all pretending they want peace while all the time calling for the demolition of the fence. Why? Because the fence will work. The purpose of this fence will be fulfilled.

If Israel is successful in completing its fence, it will become that much more difficult for Palestinians to come into Israel with their bombs. The fence is not up there to keep legitimate Palestinian farmers from their crops. The fence is not up to keep Palestinian crops from reaching legitimate markets. It is not up there to stymie anyone or anything other than the radical evil terrorists who try to blow up busses full of innocent Jewish schoolchildren.

People are yelling and screaming about the disruption of the lives of some 680,000 people because of a fence, meant for the protection of an entire nation under direct attack. What is a mild interruption compared to the deaths of thousands? Someone has got to start making some sense here. That wall, barrier, fence, whatever you want to call it is there to save the lives of the citizens of Israel. That is why the Arab nations are upset. They would prefer to see Israel defenseless and destroyed.

Complete your fence Israel. Protect yourselves.
