Sept. 17, 2004 There are some who believe that the One True God of Heaven created, or rather, established the nation of America. God is not arbitrary about such things. Even a cursory view of the Old Testament shows us God had dealings with all nations in some way. The nation that recognized and feared God prospered. The nation that opposed God and settled for lesser idols of wood and gold, usually found a legacy of dust. It is very true; and I will quote a very good friend of mine here: “God gave man a brain to think, it was intended man would use this gift to enhance his environment and provide for the common good.” God certainly did create all men to be brothers. The proof is in the blood. Russians don’t carry different blood types from Chinese; nor is Chinese blood any different from African blood; nor is African blood different from European; nor is any human blood different from any other human blood. All men are related by blood to the very first man. Somehow, man lost sight of his responsibility to “obey” the One True God of Heaven. God is a God of order. Disobedience brought the chaos all the world still experiences in this century. It isn’t as though God has given up on his creation. To quote my very good friend again: “God wrote books, sent messengers, floods, famines, pestilence; nothing seemed to convey God’s message to men.” In many ways this is true; but for those of us who follow the line of “remnant” theology, we can see, in every instance, God protecting a “remnant” of humanity to carry on. There are some in this century that believe America may house the next protected remnant during the next worldwide conflagration. They are only partially right. The true remnant will consist of believers from every nation who refuse to accept the mark of the evil one on their forehead or their hand; preferring the physical death of martyrdom to the eternal death of separation from God. I will not get completely into this here, but I will say that there are those who are absolute in their beliefs God will fulfill every prophecy spoken in the New Testament, as he did each prophecy spoken in the Old Testament. Did God establish America? It is very possible God established the United States as a stop-gap, because of the failure of the Hebrew race to carry God’s name with honor. Israel was given many specific instructions concerning their need to evangelize the nations and show the path to the true God. Their failure forced the mission of evangelism on the Gentile nations. Much of today’s True form of Christianity, surprisingly, is now manifesting on Mainland China, South Korea and many African Nations. There are even more cars sporting little fish shapes reading WWJD on their back bumpers in certain Middle Eastern countries I know of. There was a time however, when the religionists and the pagans pushed a tiny remnant of faithful people across an ocean, to a New World. This New World was embraced on behalf of the One True God of Heaven. To quote my friend again: “The founding fathers would institute new rules; establishing equal citizenship to all.” Imagine, a group of men who believed something scriptural, forming a government. “Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all and is in all.” (Col. 3:11) True people of faith know what that really means. Unbelievers see it as a mere platitude. The Founding Fathers of America were, for the greater part, men who acknowledged a Creator God. Sadly, as Israel failed, America is destroying itself from within. Where for almost 200 years America could call itself moral, pluralistic and yet united; for the past quarter century, liberalism has taken a massive toll on American society and culture. What is the American culture of 2004? You cannot tell me. It is gone. It does not exist anymore. If it has evolved, it has evolved into something that is unrecognizable as anything unique to America. The American culture allowed one to leave a door unlocked at night. The American culture allowed adult neighbors to correct unruly neighborhood children whether they belonged to them or not, and with a good spanking if necessary. The American culture did not require threat warnings or even photo ID. American culture allowed for a handshake; took someone at his word; played professional sports for fun and fame, rather than multi-million-dollar contracts. American culture got us house calls from doctors. American culture got us apologies rather than lawsuits. American culture let you stay out all night on Halloween and the candy bars were a lot bigger too. American culture saw people marry for love and raise families as Mom, Dad and Kids. American culture included John Wayne; not Michael Moore; Superman; not girly-man, and people actually frowned upon divorce, adultery, lying, fraud, forgery, open homosexual activity and mass murder. American cultures saw politeness, bible reading, prayer and a respect for the Ten Commandments, The Constitution and the American Flag. That is only a short list of all that has been lost due to multicultural clap-trap-ism and the hate speech of diversity. America is supposed to be a UNITED country. Which brings this back to God. My friend believes: “God is giving the world one last chance. God [established] George Walker Bush, President of the United States of America. Not the voters of Florida, not the Supreme Court of the [US], not the Supreme Court of Florida. God cast the deciding vote in the election of 2000.” The Hebrew/Christian Scriptures do emphatically state that it is God who set up kingdoms and it is God who takes them down. As a Christian, I must agree with God and the above statement. When I look at our President, I see a man who truly cares about this country and what America stands for. I do believe if he were permitted by law, he would always have his bible and his verses ready at every press conference. Just knowing that he prays for this whole yet divided Nation, as half of the Nation prays for him, is enough. What the offended half of the Nation will do is anyone’s guess. They are fortunate that the rain falls on both the just and the unjust. May God bless my very good friend for his love for America and his care for me. May God Continue to bless President Bush. May God continue to bless America. ------------ About the Author: Michael John McCrae is an Independent, Conservative, Christian who has been personally insulted as a voter because John Kerry thinks the "Heart and Soul of America" lays in the "X-rated sexual innuendo" of Whoopi Goldberg. Well, Michael McCrae thinks America is better than that. Michael McCrae believes there is at least some morality left. So Michael McCrae is going to leave this here (until after the election) as a reminder to all of what John Kerry and John Edwards believe the Real America to be. They believe America's "heart and soul" resides in the "X-rated sexual innuendo" of Whoopi Goldberg. You can draw your own conclusions.
