Sept. 7, 2004 Mr. Grimes, you asked: “How arrogant are we to assume that we are doing the right thing wherever the American boot hits the ground.” Let’s see. WWI? Yes, that was right. WWII? Yep, that was right too. Korea? Well, we didn’t finish the job, but we secured a free South Korea. Vietnam? Well, the politicians got involved and didn’t let the generals fight to win, so we lost that one even though we were trying to do the right thing. Somalia? Well, the Democrats had the right idea, but chickened out at the first sight of dead Americans being dragged by their boots through the streets of Muslim-mania. Kosovo? Well, democrats fought that one from a safe distance (without smart bombs) of the maximum range of a cruise missile. Kuwait? You would have to ask all these free Kuwaitis over here not being killed by Saddam Hussein’s thugs. Iraq? You would have to ask the 400,000 that did not end up in a Hussein mass grave. Mr. Grimes wrote: “We have murdered women, children and old men with our smart bombs.” I know Stan meant to say “Killed”. I also know that Stan meant to say that it was Saddam Hussein’s “Hubris” that caused all those deaths. Just as he meant that terrorist Islamists are causing all the current death and destruction we are seeing around the world. It was American “Hubris” which caused 9/11. You know, the day all those Americans died in American streets. You decry innocent victims killed by the hubris of dictators but you say nothing on behalf of the innocent dead of America. Who defends them Stan? Mr. Grimes wrote: “We have embarrassed and demeaned prisoners of war in Guantanamo Bay.” Besides this being a lie; there are seven men who begged the government not to return them to their homes in Afghanistan after being found innocent; because they liked it in Guantanamo Bay! You dare to ask what is the difference between our humane treatment of terrorist murderers and their wonderfully humane beheadings of those they capture? Who are you to ignore the only country abiding by the Geneva Conventions? You talk of hubris; let’s talk of chutzpah! America failed to maintain its pride at having defeated the Soviet Union without a shot fired. We became complacent under the leadership of weaklings and appeasers. Americans died all through the 1990’s and we did nothing about it until 12 September 2001. Mr. Grimes Asked: “How many mornings [will] children all over the world awaken to the sounds of bombs and bullets?” You ask our enemies Stan. Ask our enemies. And since Mr. Grimes likes the writings of Atheists, and since Werner Reyneke thinks Stan’s compliments “[show] that fortunately there are rational and clear thinking individuals out there besides myself.” I will just add a few thoughts here. First, Mr. Reyneke lied when he wrote: “First of all, I would like to say that I truly respect the opinions and beliefs of others and I also profoundly admire their passion in vindicating and living them.” WHERE ARE MY HIP BOOTS! Mr. Reyneke holds only distain and displeasure against my beliefs and opinions and has lumped everyone who might even slightly agree with me, in with his distain. He does not “admire” my passion; as proven in his sincerely rude rebuttal. He wrote: “It is indeed a very daunting task to sway a believer into a non-believer’s realm.” Werner, I was there. I was your alcoholic, 4 pack a day, every other word beginning with and “EFF” atheist. I was there; right where you are now; a smug, defiant, mister know-it-all. Buddy; you are the kid that I was. I know you because I was you; a clod with no clue. Your questions are the questions of a fool. The answers are all around you and you won’t give them the time of day. You are the perfect example of Stan’s “hubris”. But, I am like you too Werner; you are most assuredly permitted to believe anything your heart tells you to. I have shown Atheism to be its own form of religion; so your belief if yours and I truly do respect that. I surely hope you don’t mind if I pray for your soul though. You are still young enough that God can use you. Personally, I am very satisfied to be far from the realm of the non-believer. Werner, the next time you want an opinion on one of your articles; you can ask Stan. ------------ About the Author: Michael John McCrae is an Independent, Conservative, Christian who has been personally insulted as a voter because John Kerry thinks the "Heart and Soul of America" lays in the "X-rated sexual innuendo" of Whoopi Goldberg. Well, Michael McCrae thinks America is better than that. Michael McCrae believes there is at least some morality left. So Michael McCrae is going to leave this here (until after the election) as a reminder to all of what John Kerry and John Edwards believe the Real America to be. They believe America's "heart and soul" resides in the "X-rated sexual innuendo" of Whoopi Goldberg. You can draw your own conclusions.
