Aug 14, 2004 Now, I didn’t like Governor James McGreevey before the revelation of his homosexuality. Governor McGreevey was just like every other democrat Governor we’ve had since I bought my own home in New Jersey in 1979. They were all tax-and- spenders. Jim Florio and James McGreevey, (Hummmm! Both named Jim; is that a pattern?) never met a tax they didn’t hike. Oh, I know; McGreevey didn’t hike the New Jersey income tax, but he was going to run for re-election. The democrats always wait until they’re a locked in “lame duck” before really tax-slamming you. Anyway, as a long time New Jersey-ite, I believe I am entitled to comment on this revelation by my Governor. I am surprised. I am shocked. I am appalled. I am flabbergasted. I am amazed. I am confused. I am angry. I am grieved. I am not angry that McGreevey is gay. I am angry that he let his proclivity for sexual immoralities interfere with his duties to protect and defend the good people of the State of New Jersey. I am grieved that he compromised himself for sex. I am upset he was having an affair with anyone, let alone a person of the same sex who was not even American! For sex, McGreevey compromised New Jersey’s Department of Homeland Security by placing his what? His Lover? In a high paying position he was not the least qualified to be in. ARGH! Now we all are going to be forced by media and by stupidity, to listen to months of charges and counter charges; demands for immediate resignation and demands to save the seat for more corrupt democrats. OH COME ON! Governor McGreevey quit as a pre-emptive measure to avoid a 5 million dollar sexual harassment suit. But McGreevey had already lied to his wife, to the State of New Jersey and to himself. So what if he had been honest about being a homosexual? The State voters still probably would have elected him. And if not? He could always have moved to California or Massachusetts. Governor McGreevey should really step away right now; He can’t govern with lawsuit distractions and corruption investigations. If there is any integrity left in Governor McGreevey, it is time it found display. ------------ About the Author: Michael John McCrae is an Independent, Conservative, Christian who has been personally insulted as a voter because John Kerry thinks the "Heart and Soul of America" lays in the "X-rated sexual innuendo" of Whoopi Goldberg. Well, Michael McCrae thinks America is better than that. Michael McCrae believes there is at least some morality left. So Michael McCrae is going to leave this here (until after the election) as a reminder to all of what John Kerry and John Edwards believe the Real America to be. They believe America's "heart and soul" resides in the "X-rated sexual innuendo" of Whoopi Goldberg. You can draw your own conclusions.
