So Glad to be Back from Baghdad
July 24, 2004

If you are a regular reader of me, you may have noticed I have been away for a while. No truth- serum-induced explanations of the silliness of liberalism; no truth-filled columns of warnings against sin; no humor filled articles attacking “Political Correctness”; oh yes, I have been quiet and the liberal base at Useless-Knowledge.com has been breathing a collective sigh of relief. Perhaps they have even been celebrating the silence of the pen in my hand.

But, Alas! I have returned from an excursion I would not have wished of the gravest enemy. Temperatures in excess of 120 degrees in the shade with no such thing as a cool breeze; the only breezes being the 40 miles-per-hour, blast- furnace type, pushing the dusty dryness into every single body cavity.

All of the travel, all of the work has plastered a wall of writer’s block between me and my PC. I haven’t worked a PC since the 18th or 19th of July. Today is only the 22nd, but in 6 days I have traveled almost 2000 miles by air and another couple of hundred by ground transport or by foot. My feet hurt, my back hurts, my knees hurt and I have a headache, but my writer’s block is going away.

In the NUFF SAID Department: I saw an ad for the upcoming CNN John Kerry Special Report: “Born to Run”. I had to wonder; is that born to run to the UN when he gets a boo-boo; or is it born to run away at the first sign of trouble? Never mind that this will be a great, unpaid-for, political advertisement for the “Elect Kerry Campaign”. Never mind too that the President will not get equal free time on CNN boosting his campaign. All you needed to see was the ad for the one hour “Elect Kerry” show. Several people are shown being interviewed and no one is saying anything negative about Kerry. That is CNN being unfair and unbalanced. Nuff said!

I can now say that I have walked through the halls of a palace Saddam built on the backs of 400,000 dead souls. I have seen the opulence amid the squalor and I have wondered why the world would stand by for 20-plus years of Hussein butchery. Then I remember; that except for the United States and a few other like civilized nations, most other nations of the world are ruled by heartless, dictatorial crap-heads who don’t care about the sanctity of life. (If the shoe fits, Pal!)

I see everyone liberal is still very concerned about hurting the feelings of France and Germany. Germany should understand that we do not have to leave one, single American in Germany anymore. They are supposedly a world leader for truth, justice, democracy and freedom. They don’t need us anymore. If we move our bases to Poland, and Latvia and Estonia and Bulgaria, we will help the economies of those countries and Germany will have much more room to give in support of their burdensome socialist programs.

And France? Well; who really cares about France besides John Kerry? Nuff said!

Today is now the 24th of July. Ah! I have been catching up on all the great news I’ve missed just by reading the articles here in Useless-Knowledge.com.

Arnold, though he was joking, was addressing people who can’t take a joke; unless of course it is an “X-rated rant” from one certain comic.

Sandy Berger got caught trying to impress the ladies with the old stuffing-in-the-trousers trick. The trouble was he was stuffing classified documents in places they don’t belong. “Whoops! I’m sorry I made that mistake!” Yes, and we expect nothing less from any Clintonian sycophant.

Hillary was not selected to speak at the Democrat Convention. OUCH! I have to (sort of) agree with my colleague, Ken Hughes. By anyone’s stretch of the imagination, not to include the most-favored icon of liberalism (even over Edwards in a recent Dem poll) is a slight of the highest magnitude. No wonder Madam Clinton’s publicist had a major crap-fit against all things Kerry.

GEE WHIZ! Turns out Ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV needed and I.V. full of truth serum. He couldn’t tell a truth he didn’t like. I owe Mr. Robert Novak a BIG apology. Novak did reveal the name of Valerie Plame, (with a “P”), but he did not break any law by his action. The whole affair is now shown for the political “liar-fest-to-get- Bush” that it was. I am sorry for ever doubting you Robert. I still wish I knew how much CNN stock you own though. Wilson lied, and it turns out Iraq had approached Niger (an African nation) for some “yellow-cake” (not pound cake or devil’s food cake, which is why Wilson sat at so many “teas” in the first place). The “16 words” so many liberals were having “poo-poo” fits over were actually based in good intelligence after all.

I see Kerry is still defending his missing national security briefings to attend “x-rated” fund raisers. “The Kid” is out showing his smiley face and passing out the “gimmie-gimmies” to all his special interest friends.

In a “Washington Post.com” column I read this: “One day after Bush rolled out a new ad blasting Kerry for voting against a law making it separate crimes to kill or harm a fetus during an attack on a pregnant woman, [John] Edwards promised a vigorous defense of abortion rights. Kerry “will stand up, fight for and protect every day that he is in the White House a woman’s right to choose.” Edwards said. (Rhetoric On Values Turns Personal, 10 July 2004)

I want to know what one has to do with the other. Kerry will defend a woman’s right to choose abortion, but he refuses to defend a woman’s right to carry her child to term? If someone kills a wanted child, Kerry will not defend the woman should her child be killed by some murderous, evil scumbag? GEE WHIZ!

The rhetoric and the name calling are getting worse, and all the cries to the contrary will not be heeded. It is an election year at that.

I did want to comment on the Nader (Yawn!), Dean (Double Yawn!) debate. I think Nader should have a Senate record before being President, don’t you?

Speaking of records; Bush’s National Guard service records were lost, then found again. Liberals just don’t understand their own way of keeping records. Bush should have stuffed these records in his pants; then they would not have been lost! Anyway, the three month Alabama period may not have been served after all. Now, everyone knew where George Bush was. He was in America. He was supporting democracy. He was not overseas dodging the draft, nor was he in front of a Senate committee spreading hearsay about baby killing. President Bush was never charged with AWOL, (except recently by every liberal that believes they actually know what AWOL means) nor did the three month Alabama absence cause Bush to accumulate a “bad year” in the reserve system. So, how many times must he prove he rightfully received an Honorable Discharge? Do you know that in the reserve system, of which the National Guard is part of, a person, can actually accrue attendance without being paid? It is called “dedicated status”, or “for points only” attendance. So that is food for thought too.

Attention all Liberals! Understand that the Gay Marriage issue is causing much Southern heartache! Many of your voters in the South who proudly call themselves Democrat, also proudly proclaim the correct form of marriage is that between a man and a woman. More than 70% of the Southern Democrat voting base knows the rule for marriage as established by the one True God of Heaven. Attention all liberals!

Finally, in the OOH-I’M TELLIN! Department: I read that many pro-abortion Catholic Democrats are still taking communion against the dictate of Rome. OOH-I’M TELLIN!

I am so glad to be back from Baghdad.

About the Author: Michael John McCrae is an Independent, Conservative, Christian who has been personally insulted as a voter because John Kerry thinks the "Heart and Soul of America" lays in the "X- rated sexual innuendo" of Whoopi Goldberg. Well, Michael McCrae thinks America is better than that. Michael McCrae believes there is at least some morality left. So Michael McCrae is going to leave this here (until after the election) as a reminder to all of what John Kerry and John Edwards believe the Real America to be. They believe America's "heart and soul" resides in the "X-rated sexual innuendo" of Whoopi Goldberg. You can draw your own conclusions. Email: michael.mccrae@us.army.mil
