July 19, 2004 If you read the Hebrew/Christian Bible; the Book of Matthew, Chapter 25, you will read: “When the son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right hand and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father, Take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. (Mt.25:31-34) “Then he will tell those on his left, “Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” (vs.41) In the scriptures there are: “wheat and tares”, “sheep and goats”, “leavened and unleavened bread”, you know; other forms of Black and White. In these words of Jesus, he is declaring the black and the white of salvation. You either supported the weak and the innocent and the brother, or you did not. “Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord”, will enter the kingdom of heaven; but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day; “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?” Then I will tell them plainly, “I never knew you; away from me you evildoers!” (Matthew 7:21-23) As John wrote about “many antichrists” pretending to be “of us”; Jesus shows exactly what will happen to those who pretend to know what true Christianity is about. It is true Jesus spoke of love. If you can’t love your brother, you can’t love God. Are all men brothers? The Hebrew/Christian Bible declares; yes. So, should I love all men? Yes. Should I warn all men equally of the possibility of eternal death through sin? Again, yes. Having done that and been ignored; do I then shake the dust off my feet and move on? Again, yes. So, what about those brothers then? God will judge. The people will be separated. There will be sheep. There will be goats. There is not some gray hybrid that gets to share both the wealth and the punishment of God. That is not scriptural. It is misleading and wrong. It is also misleading and wrong to remember love without wrath. Evil, sin, and murder all deserve wrath; not compromise and acceptance. This is where most men fail. They want to be fair to everyone. There is no harm in that except when fairness means compromise with evil. History proves evil dominates. God and Jesus knew this; that is why evil was driven out of God’s temple; not negotiated with. It is true that our world is not that simple. Ronald Reagan had it right. Peace through strength without compromising with communism. Peace with appeasement toward communism brought us the current crisis with North Korea. The diplomacy being used now will either fail or achieve the disarming of a communist state. It may well lead to a compromise, but, this time, America will ensure that all the agreements are verifiably maintained. We will not again just walk away from the table, trusting those known to be enemies of freedom to keep their word. They have proven they cannot be trusted. Gray allows for 17 U.N. resolutions; each succeeding one weaker than the previous. Gray does not act because gray is not a decision. Gray is lukewarm. It was Jesus who told the Laodoceans in a letter, that because they were neither hot nor cold; but lukewarm; he would spit them out of his mouth. That doesn’t sound like a whole lot of love to me. It does sound rather black and white. No. Christianity so-called had better wake itself up to the real nature of the true God of Heaven. The True God rewards those who practice, in faith, the helps outlined in Matthew Chapter 25. The Scriptures declare that without faith it is impossible to please God. I do not desire to be trapped on the side of the impossible. The admonition of scripture is to “examine your own self”. So, in a way, I agree with some of the more current offerings of my readers. I am examining myself as to the truthful content and the fairness of what I write. I don’t ever worry about expressing my faith through scripture. The Word of God is the finest tool of truth one can have. A person can ignore it; disbelieve it; rail against it; condemn it; yet, it remains the only truth that will lead one to life eternal. It is all there in Black and White. I’m a sheep, not a goat. NEXT: God’s Truth?
