June 6, 2004 First it was education; when after eight years of sloth, it was the Bush Administration's fault the nation's youth still could not read, write or do simple math and test scores required for advancement continued to drop. The cry was for "more money". The cry was to ease test standards, then revise the test standards, then to do away with the test standards altogether; leave the status quo. Secondly, it was the economy. When after eight years of higher taxes and the imposition of a greater tax burden on Social security recipients, (money that had already been stolen through taxation by the way); although the government was touting its surplus, (something the government should never be allowed to have); the economy was mired in a recession, again blamed on the Bush administration. Suddenly, through a series of tax cut measures and easements against small business owners there was a resurgence in all the leading economic indicators. The cry became: "But it is a jobless recovery!" And then, when jobs indeed began to return, the economy, just as suddenly was not the issue anymore. Thirdly, it was the war. After eight years of ignoring the signs; allowing the FBI and the CIA to squander resources against places like Waco, Texas and small children like Elian Gonzalez; eight years of appeasement toward countries like N. Korea, Iran and Iraq; eight years of failure to support the United States Military in their operations in Somalia and Kosovo; eight years of failure to retaliate for the bombings in Tanzania, Kenya, Aden, Saudi Arabia and New York City; the brazen bastards of radical Islam struck the paper tiger in its gut; and 9/11 is being investigated by seven different committees as a Bush administration failure. ARGH! But gee! What is this? Suddenly, America was tired of taking it in the gut. Suddenly we had an administration that wanted to fight back against America's enemies. Suddenly we wanted to destroy the bad guys who dared to kill Americans. Gee, why would America suddenly want this guy Usama bin Crapnard when the previous administration was so appeasing and gentle? The war is all the fault of America. Usama bin Butthead was just acting out in a form of free speech. It was much like burning a cross on the front lawn of a Black family, or like burning an American Flag on the steps of the Capital. Burning down the World Trade Center is really no different than that, right? America shouldn't be getting upset at any of that; after all it was only four aircraft. America has lots of aircraft. There were only a few babies on those aircraft. America aborts over a million babies a year! Why should they care about a few more? America is just overreacting! So American youth cannot read or write or do simple math because the Bush administration will not give more money to to the NEA to lobby democrats in Congress to give them more money to lobby democrats in Congress to give them even more money to lobby democrats in Congress. (Yes, that is one giant, run along sentence dedicated to democrats.) So the American economy is strong; but since Americans have to pay more money for gas, and since we will not deal with OPEC more strongly, and since we will allow environmentalists to rule the energy policy of America, and we continue to see democrats in the Senate stonewalling the President's energy policies; it is all the fault of Bush and his oil cronies; and inflation and recession may result. So foreign fighters enter Iraq and begin killing Iraqis that support America. So Sunnis still kill Shiites and the Kurds hate everyone in between. So there is absolutely no support from any other Arab country for peace. So the United Nations has washed its collective hands against support for the Iraqi congress. So the cry is louder for the protection of buildings and cemetaries than for the people of Iraq. So the Iranians still develop nuclear capabilities against the authority of the IAEA and the UN. So Afghanistan is still a wreck of sad and sorry UN intervention. So Serbians still kill Kosovars who still kill Albanians, all under the "peace" protection of UN forces. This is all somehow the fault of the Bush administration. The Polls! The Polls! It is through the massive media use of the poll that heroes are made. We know by the writings of Dick Morris and others who were part of the previous administration, that polls dictated policy. We also know that President Bush is not ruled by polls. President Bush believes he must always do what is right over what is expedient and popular. "No Child Left Behind" means that every child will be taught what he needs to achieve in life; and that every teacher will be competent enough to impart these lessons correctly. Tax cuts for all classes is the way to grow the economy. This has been historically proven from the time of JFK. In hard times, people need more of their hard earned dollars to spend. Increases in taxes only gives the government more money for more pork projects that only benefit politicians. The taxpayers are left eating beans and rice. The politicians, eat the pork. The enemies of America must be fought. Appeasement has brought America death and a determined enemy. Response and war has brought death and desparation to our enemies. If we let up, America will again have to face major insecurity within its borders. I see no respite in any of this. There is a great machine out there that has been chipping away at everything the Bush administration is trying to do. The Senate has forced obstructionism into every policy of the administration. Bush is not being allowed one single victory on any front, foreign or domestic. the Republicans are in full defensive mode because they are receiving no support from any of the major media outlets of liberal credibility (which is every outlet but two). Why is it wrong to want educational excellence from students and teachers in the public arena? Why is it wrong to ensure Americans are not excessively taxed on the dollars they need to secure a decent standard of living? Why is it wrong to desire the defense of the American homeland? I have heard a million voices against the administration's efforts in these areas. The only suggestions from the opponents of Bush are more money, higher taxes, and bring home the troops. No. No. And No, one million times. Teachers, do your work! Taxpayers, keep your money! America, fight your enemies! Liberals!
