Sixth Grade Politics Revisited
Apr 25, 2004

Once again we will revisit some sixth grade politics...

"Today class, we have two candidates running for class president. Our first candidate has been class president for some time now, and as a result we have fewer bullies picking on the rest of the class. We also have higher grade point averages and we have all of our students going on to the seventh grade.

Our other candidate is running on the platform that he is not the other candidate. He wants to raise classroom dues and let the other schools in our neighborhood determine what our classroom policies are going to be. He feels sorry for the bullies the George here, got rid of, and wants to know if our current class president knew, in advance, of any after school beating received by the members of our class."

Can it get any simpler?

On the one hand , we have George Bush who has the terrorists running so scared, they have not attacked us since 9/11. We have a last ditch effort on the part of madmen trying their level best to scare us out of Iraq. The economy is continuing to grow and America is once again, a country not to be reckoned with.

On the other hand we have John Kerry. He wants to lick the boots of the U.N. tinpot dictators who are currently under investigation for taking money from Saddam Hussein. His wife doesn't want to disclose any of her tax information because it would just prove everything that we have been saying about Kerry from the start. He's rich and has power. He wants more. All of the left-wingers do. They still can't say publically who is really responsible for the mess that they are in (Bill Clinton) and can't stand the direction that they country is going. More money for us, less social programs, a strong defense, and a sense of induvidualism that must tear at their socialistic little hearts. And if we can actually get someone on the Supreme Court that isn't out to rewrite our constitution, that would just send them into screaming hissy fits.

Their latest histronics are of the number of troops that have died in Iraq. They are also screaming about a lack of purpose and exit strategy that they say Bush has with Iraq.

Let me set the record straight on these two points. First, people die in war. The fact that we are fighting cowards should not have us stray from the course that we are on. Second, I find it amusing that we can still have troops stationed in Korea, Germany, Japan and its been decades since the conflicts there. The hipocracy of these whiners is self evident with their continued silence on Bill Clintons little war in Bosnia.

Finally, the arrogance, and I mean massive ego-driven "I am better than you" arrogance is so self evident in Kerrys' statement that he would hold press conferences every month if he became president.

Why?

Is the country going to sink so low that he'll have to say something every month? Are we going to have monthly indoctrination speeches on the utter superiority of the French? The U.N.?

This november I want to rehire a man that will do his job. I want to rehire a man who will do his best to keep my family safe. I want to rehire a man who will make me proud of where I come from and where I live.

If it were just up to me, I would just throw Kerrys' resume' in the trash and send a polite letter saying thanks, but the jobs been filled.
