Aug 12, 2003 Over the time that I have been writing articles for useless- knowledge I have gotten many letters about my writings and many topics in the forum are about me and my writings. These are the things you don't see in the articles. What do they write and say when you can't see. They write a lot, that is for sure. And it isn't pretty at ALL. Let's take a peek inside what they said. "God, it's ridiculous. I hate to trash it...article is one long catalog of Bush-bashing BS. Not a single fact backs up anything...your arguments laughable, your conclusions drawn from thin air...your English teacher ought to be drawn and quartered!" You think it's bad yet? We have barely dug under the first layer of this mess. What you always seem to say is that ALL I do is bash Bush but have no facts at all. But of course, what you say isn't bashing at all. "I hope that someday you abandon this zombie-like shambling...and ACTUALLY WRITE something. Show us the evidence..." WHOA. Let's wait here a minute. Evidence? This is when we take a little trip to Iraq and talk about weapons of mass destruction. Evidence? There is NO EVIDENCE. That is exactly it. There is no evidence of weapons of mass destruction. We haven't found ANY WEAPONS YET. That was ALL that Bush based this war on, WMDs. And we haven't found any yet. What is the reasoning of this war? I want evidence. YOU haven't given me ANY evidence. That is the facts. "...this Stensrud kid...writes a non-researched, simplistic...article. No concrete example, just these vague, platitudinal banners." "When your life's your own, and the consequences of your failure fall only on you, you can feel free to choose to fail." I'm sorry, but what is this? When you life's your own? When do you NOT control and HAVE your own life? "When you go to a public school, *I* am paying for you." Pretty soon we'll say that people who work for the government have no control over THEIR lives because they get paid by you and me too. This is getting scary. Are we communist now? People shouldn't have control over their lives? That is what you are saying. "...you don't know the first thing about economics." "This article sounds like nothing more than a really, really bad Al Gore speech. Your arguments are vague. It doesn't appear that you researched..." "Methinks someone must be lying about one's GPA if one has such a severe lack of critical thinking skills as your last post demonstrates. You've been brainwashed, boy..."
It is SO very interesting to watch you write how all I do is
BASH BASH BASH, but then I get nice little letters from the
SAME PEOPLE doing just that. If that isn't hypocrisy I
don't
know what is. Truthfully, I have gotten some nice emails
and those have made my day. But very very few of the
emails are like that. Very few even have constructive
criticism. They just state I am right and you are wrong so
change parties and get used to it. So then I put in the
facts. I research, find sites and sources, put them in, and
think maybe you'll understand now. But of course not, it's
never that easy. Then you find a way to say my sources are
wrong that they lie, that they are just as liberal as me.
If
you are going to say that I am wrong, please come up with
something to then back up what YOU said. But I have little
hope, so you don't have to worry that much.
