Between David Jared, and myself, we have presented hard, incontravertible facts - not starry-eyed theory, or baseless accustaions - but indisputable proof of how liberalism, and the Democratic party, has hurt our great country. You just call us names.

You are free to believe what you want to, that is your right as an American. What isn't your right, as part of intelligentsia, is discarding empirical evidence in favor of blind ideology.

The fact that you have proudly chosen a political side is great. We need more teenagers who are as civic- and politically-minded as you. But you have an obligation, as an America first, then as a politco, to read every article/news item and history book, to find out where your party stood then, and where it stands today. Then read everything you can about Republicans. Weigh and assess every point of view. If, after all that, you still think the most evil enterprise ever created by the devil and foisted upon mankind are conservatives (and not dog shows), then you have made an informed opinion, and I respect your right to disagree with me.

RESEARCH. Don't follow any sociopolitical belief system blindly.

And, if you want FACTS of any issue, tell me and I will dig it up and post them here. And I invite you to do the same. The problem with Democrats today, since they have no ideas of how to better America without hurting it (further) first, is resort to third grade insults that are the playground equivalent of "Republicans have cooties!" Whether you realize it or not, I gave you a FACT about the tax fleecing, I mean, system in this country in my "Letter to a Young Democrat" article. You, in turn, shot back with the grave dust oldie "Republicans only care about business, not people," etc.

Research. Study. Then make up your own mind.

Like I stated before, part of conservatism is helping people help themselves. You don't give welfare checks, you create jobs. You don't give people paychecks, you give them the tools to develop skills to work the job to earn that paycheck. Put it another way: what feels better? Someone handing you ten bucks while you're lounging around on the couch watching TV, or getting out in the sun, turning on the radio, and washing the car to earn that ten bucks?

Conservatives help people help themselves. David Jared's Sowell quote is dead-on correct. Nothing is more rewarding to human being than knowing he is earning his way, contributing to society, and has been paid for a job well done. Nothing is more corrosive and debilitating than knowing you are making no mark in life. Other people ar living it for you.

Take the example of the greatest, and wisest, man who has ever lived (and still does.) Jesus healed the lame, made the blind see, exorcised demons, cured skin disease; all to help the pariahs of society to become normal, in essence, giving them the level playing field to compete and succeed in society. Jesus never gave anyone money.
