Sigh...The Scott Jones Rebuttal, Part 2.
July 21, 2003

This is the liberal tactic: disseminate a half- truth, all-out lie, or unresearched opinion; the communist liberal press gleefully prints it, ad nauseum, in hopes that the lowly cattle (that would be us, the American populous) will believe it; and, one day, it becomes history. Ann Coulter, in her devastating and brilliant new book, TREASON, recounts how the left demonizied - make that Satanized - Joseph McCarthy and Roy Cohn during the HUAC investigations in the 1950's. No surprise, time has proven that they were right. The Venona cables, that were declassified in 1995, were Soviet communiqués concerning the Soviet spies working in the upper reaches of our government. Thanks to uberpatriots McCarthy and Cohn, the "Red Scare" was only that: a scare.

But liberals always flee from truth. Scott Jones has yet to produce one source backing any of his claims. Liberals hate proof. They are repelled by facts. They prefer conjecture, baseless accusations, or just lies. I wish I was a liberal. It's so much easier when you don't have to do research.

This is the conservative tactic: present reasoned arguments that are backed by facts. This is the second time Scott Jones has made me write an article to rebut his foundless, sourceless claims. And, again, I thank him for making this an easy article to write, because all I have to do is cut and paste from my old articles and websites.

So, here we go...again. This is getting tiresome:

Scott Jones: "The problem is, Joe, that more and more people with more than one functioning brain cell are really beginning to wonder just how far the Bush Administration went in order to justify it's case for invading Iraq, and about what the actual motives were for this invasion."

"In the Gallup/CNN/USA Today poll, 79 percent said the war would be justified even "if the U.S. does not find conclusive evidence that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction." http://www.hillnews.com/campaign/060403_mellman.aspx

SJ: "While our president did take great pains to mention Saddam Hussein's name in conjunction with the 9/11 attacks in his Address to the nation, thus trying to establish a definitive link between the two (9/11 and Hussein), there has been no evidence to back up this assertion."

President Bush repeatedly predicated Operation Iraqi Freedom on: 1) ridding Saddam Insane of his WMD's, so he couldn't harm us, or hand them off to terrorists. 2) ousting Saddam, and installing a democratic government. 3) liberating the Iraqi people from the unspeakable atrocities of an evil regime. (http://www.useless-knowledge.com/articles/new/046.html)

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,92237,00.html: "Since the end of the Iraq war, at least 60 mass graves, some with hundreds of corpses, have been discovered. The United Nations is investigating the killing or disappearance of at least 300,000 Iraqis believed murdered during Saddam's regime."

So, we should've waited until Hussein reached Stalin levels before taking him out? Granted, Stalin killed twenty million of his own people, and there are only Iraq twenty-two million people in Iraq. You're right. It wouldn't be optimal to kill all but two million of your population. Who is going to build your palaces, run your rape rooms and torture chambers?

SJ: "None of the 9/11 terrorists were Iraqis, but 9 of them were Saudi citizens. Strangely, Bush and his Oil-soaked cabinet have completely ignored the obvious connections to Oil Rich Saudi Arabia's involvement in the 9/11 attacks."

In a Middle Eastern country with 24 million people, I'm sure you can find nine people who don't like America. http://aolsearch.aol.com/aol/search?encquery=3BAF1AEF537813AB3058F31F8457E823076533A036A112FA6A0A12DD1C46B50D&invocationType=keyword.

"Oil soaked cabinet." Since we have yet to switch over to cars fueled by tofu and bean sprouts, most leaders of the world are "oil soaked."

SJ: "Oh yeah, and all those chemical weapons and that seething nuclear arms development program that we know that Saddam and Iraq had festering away behind their closed up borders...you remember those don't you Joe, they were the ones that the UN inspectors couldn't find in 8 years of searching."

Mariani already rebutted this with typical conservative accuracy, and painstaking detail in http://www.useless-knowledge.com/columnists/joemariani/article16.html. Let me add:

"The Pentagon's chief weapons inspector David Kay has uncovered what is being described as a 'mother lode' of documents in Iraq detailing Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction program. 'I've already seen enough to convince me,' said Kay, a former U.N. weapons inspector, in an interview aired Tuesday [July 15, 2003] with "NBC Nightly News" anchorman Tom Brokaw." http://www.iconoclast.ca/MainPage.asp?page=/NEWPAGE17.asp

Liberalism, and the Democratic Party, it was nice knowin' ya. I hear Canada is the new France.
