Nov 11, 2003 PEACE IS A DIRTY BUSINESS BUT SOMEONE HAS TO DO IT. Ever since the war of 1775 America has been the Schoolyard Monitor for the World. I’m not going to quote exact dates. For over 200 years Americas has been the Country who has stood up to the Bully’s of the world. When the Barbarians are at the gate America is there to greet them. We defeated the British twice in our first quarter century. We pacified the Barbary Pirates, We ran Maximallion out of Mexico. We changed half of our country from slave to free. We liberated the Caribbean and the Philippians from Spain. We saved Europe twice. We saved Japan from the War Lords and created a democracy where most said it was impossible. We kept the Soviets contained. We defended South Korea. Space prohibits mentioning all the small fires we put out around the world and the lives America has saved in the process. And yes there where some things that didn’t go well, The treatment of our Indigenes population. The fact it took one hundred years to abolish the effects of slavery, Viet Nam, Somalia. We are an imperfect nation inhabited by imperfect people. That makes us about as perfect a society as there is on this Planet. This Country is in the greatest battle in our history, we are fighting a multi-fronted war on terror. We are fighting the Worlds Combatant Terrorists. We are fighting European Philosophical Terrorists. We are fighting Liberal Politically Correct Terrorists at home. Before anyone decides to call the FBI and have me arrested look the word TERROR up in your dictionary. You’ll find it’s something or someone who strikes terror in a person. The Liberal, Politically Correct leaders of The Democratic party terrorizes me. Anyone who has ever been in a hailstorm in West Texas knows there are some things you fear but can’t avoid. If we don’t defeat terror in Iraq and Afghanistan, then where? Do we want suicide bombers blowing up Nathan’s in New York, Uno Pizza in Chicago, Café Du Monde in New Orleans. This is not an option it is a fact. People who send children out to commit suicide are cowards they have no regard for life except their own. When challenged they will always retreat to the safest place they can find. Example are Saddam, Bin Ladin. And all the other hero’s of the Revolution. For all those who think we shouldn’t be in Iraq I would point out the assault on the Twin Towers wasn’t the first strike on America, it has been the last. So I ask you, has the Bush doctrine of pre-emption worked? IT WORKS FOR ME ! I have a Sunday morning pundit’s addiction. I enjoy hearing what those so-called experts on TV have to say. For the past month all have been telling President Bush what he should and shouldn’t do in Iraq. Let’s see, He is President and they aren’t so how will it work for him to follow all the advice he gets from Sunday TV. Now lets go to the Democrats to see how they view it. The President should have gone to the UN, He did. The President should have gone to Congress for approval, He did. The President should ask our friends in Europe for help, He has. The President should ask other Muslim countries for help, He has. The President should turn the Iraq issue over to the UN, It was 12 years ago. Every Democratic Congressman has a sound bite how to handle the war on terror. Not one has a plan that includes the necessary inter-structure to make it work. Every Democratic Congressman agrees Saddam had to go. None can say how that should have been done other than the way the President did it. The Liberals in this country want us to be more like the Europeans. Many of our ancestors left Europe so they wouldn’t have to be like them. WE ARE AMERICAN, We don’t speak English we speak American. We eat American, We work American, We play American. WE ARE AMERICAN. “Build a better mouse trap and the world will beat a path to your door” In case the Liberals haven’t noticed the world is trying to get in.. We are the better mouse trap. In twelve short months we will vote for the future of this country. We can give it to the Liberals to turn over to the UN or we can elect Conservative Candidates who will bring us back to the Constitution we all care so much about.
