Nov 10, 2003 Howard Dean made some rediculous statments while campaigning in Florida last week. He suggested Southerners where Gun toting, Homophobic, Bigoted Religious Zealots who where corrupting the election process. In another statment he ask for the support of all those Rednecks who had a Confrderate flag and a gun-racks on their Pick-up trucks. He don't get it. All the Rednecks became Democrats and moved Up-North. The first amendment guarantees the right of free speech and religious freedom. The second amendment guarantees the right of every citizen to keep and bear arms. So Mr. Dean until they repeal the Constitution I will exorsize my right to associate with whomever I like, to have a gun if I like, to express any view I like and to vote for anyone I like. If I want to profess a love of God I have the right. These are my rights Mr. Dean you can't take them from me. The last time I recall hearing a conversation degrading Born again Christians, Niggers, Spics, Gooks, Chinks, Kicks, Rednecks and Towel-heads I was having dinner in a restaurant in Burlington Vermont. Two couples who where obviously prominent local citizens seated close by where havinng a discussion how fortunate they where not haveing many of THOSE pepole living in Vermont. I am sure this isn't the prevailing attitude in Vermont. However hearing their Gov. Dean, who knows maybe it is. Some of the statments being made by Democratic leaders. Ted Kennedy, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Terry McAuliffe, Tom Daschle, Nancy Pelosi, Robert Byrd are ludicrous to say the least. They make a statment and with in hours or at least days they are back-tracking becouse they where proven wrong. One would think they would learn to think twice and speak once. It is sad, most of the public don't catch it or don't care. Getting the attention of the voters this far in advance of an election is like trying to herd CATS Just when you think you have it all togather and your headed in the right direction you discover YOU HAVEN'T AND YOUR NOT. To clarify my position, I am an Agnostic; I belive in God but don't subscribe to any organized religion. I have no problem with Homosexuals, male or female. I have many close friends of various ethnic origins. I am not a bigot or a racist. I believe America is great becouse of it's ethnic diversity. I believe in the two party political system. I am a Capitalist, I am compfortable with who I am. I don't care much what others think of me. And yes I have one hell of an EGO. There are still some good Democrats from the old school, Zell Miller, Joe Biden, Joe Lieberman, Chris Dodd, John Brauex, Russ Fiengold. I am sure there are others as well. The problem with the Democratic party, the leadership has been high- jacked by a group of Neo-Nazi thugs who listen to no-one. Post McGovern / Mondale it has become the party of TRASH POLITICS. It's all about control, money and power. It is like those new reality T V shows, the lower they sink the more they like it. . Here are some things the Democrats hold dear. They are in fact Anti-Constitution. Not mentioned in the Constitution are, Separation of Church and State, Abortion, Welfare, Education, Public Housing, Medicare, Minimun Wage, Unemployment Benefits. Farm Subsidies, Foreign Aid, Long Congressional Carriers. The tenth amendment limits the Federal powers to those designated in the Constitution, all other powers are granted the States. For more than 40 years a liberal Congress has so corrupted the system we have Judges making law, Special Interest groups writting law. Lobbyists dictating policy. The entire Constitution, amendments and all can be written on two pages of a yellow legal pad. The interpretations would fill the Grand Canyon and then some. I have no doubt the Republicans will win enough additional seats in the Senate in 2004 to break the deadlock the Democrats have on the Senate. It is time to ride Congress of those self- proclaimed, self-aggrandizing Elder Statsman from both parties. It's time for TERM LIMITS. If they have been there 24 or more years and they are still fighting to get their agends enacted I say get rid of then they are not doing their jobs.
