It seems once again Mr. Johan Peters feels it necessary to give lessons in Democracy to we Americans. I say go for it Johan, who knows you may stumble on something we hadn’t thought of.

I have several questions for Johan. I don’t want them to seem sarcastic; I am honestly looking for answers. Is the European obsession with American politics because their politics is so boring? I have tried following some of the New Euro politics and so far all I get out of it is a lot of discussion and little action. Everything that’s suggested will be determined at a later date. Is this why it’s taken Europe two hundred years to copy the American system of Government [A United Europe]? But that’s for them to sort out, not me.

THESE ARE MY QUESTIONS.

Do women in your country have the right to drive or even ride in the front seat of an automobile? Women in many Arab countries have no such rights.

Do women in your country attend public school? Many in Arab countries don’t.

Do women in your country have the right to speak to a member of the opposite sex when not accompanied by a male relative? Women in many Arab countries have no such rights.

Are marriages arranged in your country? In most Arab countries this is normal.

Are women in your country required to be covered from head to foot when in public? In most Arab countries this is demanded of them.

Can women in your country be stoned to death for committing adultery? It’s common practice in many Arab countries.

Can the son of your King or Prim Minister rape any young girl he chooses with impunity? Saddam’s sons could and did.

Were your countries athletes put to death for not winning games? Iraqi athletes were.

Has a member of your ruling party use a State function to murder the opposition? Saddam did.

The penalty for theft in may Arab countries is to have a hand cut off. Is this the practice in your country?

And Europeans complain about a few weapons of mass destruction when Saddam murdered over a million Muslims. Are these priorities or what?

These are but a few of the mid-evil practices still found in the Middle East. Yet the Europeans tell us this is nothing for us to be concerned with. If need be the UN will pass a resolution condemning those atrocities and that will take care it once and for all.

It didn’t seem to bother the Europeans when the Nazis were killing the Jews of Europe and it doesn’t seem to matter that some Arab Dictators are killing their people now.

Yasir Arafat is treated like a hero in Europe when all the evidence shows him to be the killer of all killers. Of course he’s killing Jews so I guess to the Europeans that’s ok.

We Americans are a compassionate people when we see evil we tend to want to eliminate it not enable it. Call us stupid if you like. Coming from Europeans we can live with it.
