Mar 6, 2004 I received an e-mail last week from a person who evidently is a regular reader of Useless Knowledge. For identity purposes I’ll call him Ron, I always liked that name it reminds me of Former President Ronald Reagan not that there’s any comparison. Ron begins his e-mail questioning my biography. He made some rather inflammatory suggestions. Liberals do that a lot., they do the personal attach before they get to the Bush Bashing. It’s as if it were written down for them somewhere, oh well. Ron made several accusations suggesting the President may be bordering on malfeasants in office. It’s obvious Ron’s plugged into the Hollywood crowds rhetoric. I can almost visualize Michael Moor’s lips moving. Sorry Ron for the quip, I couldn’t resist. BUSH IS A CHROMIC LIAR, Congress bought into the same briefings as the President. If the American public were lied to it wasn’t only by President Bush, it was by Congress, Bill Clinton, the UN and our less that stalwart friends in Europe. If one is lied to and goes with that information that doesn’t necessarily make them a liars. GEORGE BUSH IS A DRAFT DODGER, no Ron Bill Clinton is a draft dodger, President Bush was a trained fighter pilot in uniform ready to go if sent. Please tell the descendents of the Minute Men of the American Revolution or the National Guard stationed in Iraq and all those who served in-between they’re draft dodgers. BUSH CAUSED OUT-SOURCING JOBS, no Ron I caused out-sourcing of jobs when I imported consumer products by container load into this country as long as 30 years ago. The Congress of the United States is responsible for out-sourcing when they signed the NAFTA agreement plus all those other trade agreements that were innocently Pre-Bush BUSH IS AN INSIDER TRADER, I’m not going to even bother with that one, I’m not sure where it comes from. The Bush Administration has been the most active since Teddy Roosevelt in prosecuting corporate miss-doer’s. Where was Clinton when Ken Lay of Enron was cooking the books? BUSH’S THREE ARRESTS WERE EXPUNGED, I recall only one arrest and if I’m not mistaken it was never expunged it was a simple misdemeanor he pled guilty to paid his fine as many have done over the years. Ron is there something you know we don’t? BUSH COMMITTED TREASON, I wish people would read the Constitution before they go off making wild accusations. Ron President don’t enact laws. That is the sole responsibility of Congress. It was Congress that approved the Home Land Security law your so concerned with. I’m not comfortable with all of it. I do know it’s working. There hasn’t been an attach on America since 9 / 11. Try another one. Ron goes on to say how President Bush has cut Veterans benefits, not so he just didn’t think they needed to be so large. They have actually been increased over the last budget. There comes a point when we can no longer afford all the freebee’s or should we. Ron thinks President Bush is beholding to those horrible rich people. Ron we’re a Capitalistic Nation it’s those horrible rich peoples and those who strive to be who’s investments create this utopian society we enjoy. Left to Government the average monthly pay check would be about the same as a social security check. Try explaining that to a Liberal. Ron says if Clinton had acted like Bush the Republicans would have been in the streets demonstrating. Close but not quite, Republicans don’t go to the streets Liberals do that. However Slick Willy was the most investigated President in history ( by both parties) . Clintons resume lists the following, Impeached President, Twice Disbarred Lawyer, State and Federal Courts. Convicted felon. Child molester, Employee discriminator, Womanizer, Perjurer, All around Party Boy. Along side Clinton George Bush looks like real Pussy Cat. Ron had said in his e-mail for me not to respond as I couldn’t change his mind. Ron I have no desire to change our mind. It’s liberals like you that give conservatives like me ammunition to enhance our cause. Once people hear what you and yours have to say many are so offended they willingly accept our views I suggested to Ron if he cared to respond in an article I would give him a helping hand. If he were willing to abide by the rules set down by Useless Knowledge I would help him with his first article. I explained this was an opportunity for him to have his views known World Wide. I haven’t heard from Ron, I doubt I will. If you happen to read this Ron I want you to know even thought I don’t respect your opinions, you have a right to them. Far be it I would ever make any attempt to change your mind. It takes differing opinions to make our political system work. You continue to do your part, I’ll do the same. These are my opinions.
