Blame Haiti On History, Not President Bush
Feb 29, 2004

Are the problems in Haiti the fault of American policy, you better believe they are. They started in 1804 when Haiti declared independence from France. The United States left Haitian rule to Haitians until 1915 when they intervened to keep blacks and mulatto’s from annihilating each other. In 1934 the United Sates withdrew the Marines but retained control over the finances of Haiti until 1947 when they again withdrew leaving Haiti to the Haitians. The United States has a policy justifiably of intervening in the politics of the Caribbean Region ( To enforce the Monroe Doctrine ). They solve the immediate problems but never the cause, those being economic and political. The United States has until recently treated Latin America and the Caribbean Region as Redheaded Step-children. Americas economic investments has usually gone North, East and West never South. I grew up in the Caribbean, I spent much of my working life dealing with those Southern Countries. I have a fairly good understanding of what has gone on. I’ve been in Haiti several times in the past. American garbage dumps are cleaner than Haiti’s Capital City, Port-au-Prince, The poverty in Haiti is unequaled anywhere in this hemisphere. This is a country America has ignored How can we expect more from these people than we are willing to share with them. Haiti is Americas shame not President Bush’s. You have had nineteen years to address the Haitian problem, Where have you been Senator Kerry? Why do Presidents take the heat when it belongs on Congress?

Only recently has America made any attempt to invest in the regions south of our boarders, Mexico, Central, South America and the Caribbean. NAFTA has been a Godsend to many in those countries. NAFTA can’t resolve 512 years of history in seven days as God did, and it can’t be fair to everyone all at once. The world is headed on the road to freedom for all. With that comes free trade and total equality for humanity. How long it takes is up to those who lead and those who follow. Tribalism is a thing of the past. Like all dying things they go out kicking. There’s a lot of kicking going on in the world. It’s something we have to put up with and handle the best we can for as long as it takes.

I heard Senator Kerry this morning. ranting on T. V how it was Presidents Bush’s fault Haiti’s President Aristide was forced to leave Haiti. Excuse me, wasn’t it the people of Haiti who sent him packing. Senator Kerry says we had no business interfering in Iraq but we should have interfered in Haiti. When he was ask why we should have supported Aristide he said it was because he was democratically elected by the people. As I recall the people didn’t vote and the opposition withdrew because it was common knowledge the elections were rigged in Aristides favor. There is little difference between Poppa Doc Duvalier and Aristide. Aristide supported “ Execution by necklacing” A procedure he praised in a statement he made Sept. 27, 1991. The same year Bill Clinton supported him as the legitimate leader of Haiti. “Necklacing” is placing half an automobile tire around the neck of the accused, fill it with gasoline and light it on fire. This is but one of the tortures used by the Aristide Administration to control the populace, he is now being supported by Senator Kerry. I can’t wait for Kerry to spin this one.

The Democrats support intervention in Haiti and Liberia and yet chastise our efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Senator Kerry seems to have an obsession (thing) or at least fantasies about Dictatorships.( No, if he’s elected President he wouldn’t would he?) He supported Dictators in North Viet Nam, Iraq, Palestine Afghanistan, Liberia, Haiti, Iran, Syria, and Libya, there are probable more but you get the point. I guess that’s what happens, Kerry is after all half French. That allows him to oppose and support any position at will, like I said it’s a French thing.

Back to Haiti, the poorest country in the American family of countries. It should be the responsibility of the more prosperous nations of the Americas not just the United Sates to assist in providing an economy that would sustain the population of Haiti,. It seems when there’s a problem in the world it’s always created by the actions of, or lack of action of the United States so say the Kerry’s. The UN sits on their be-hinds while ROME BURNS, France, Germany and Russia pontificate while ROME BURNS. All blame the United Sates for not extinguishing the fires of ROME, Ergonomically of course.

The elections of 2004 should be a wake up call for America, THE LIBERALS ARE COMING, THE LIBERALS ARE COMING, one if by deception , two if by election.

This election will define the direction this country will take for generations to come. Congress needs to regain the making of law, courts must be stopped from mandating law. Congress needs to re-evaluate their responsibilities regarding their function in government. The Special Interests i.e. Lobbyists are essential to make suggestions but not solely responsible for the directions government goes. We need a new Congress, those not beholden to Big Money Contributors. We need new Campaign Contribution Laws putting the burden of compliance on the candidates and not the public. This will only happen with new members of congress. The current Congressmen will never agree to cutting off the hand that feeds them.

I guess that’s enough punditry for now, I hear a lot of mice clicking to other sites.
