That's My President
Feb 13, 2004

The Media doesn’t seem to want to let the Tim Russert vs. George Bush interview alone. I feel compelled to answer the latest charges on behalf of the President, It seems no one’s standing up for him on this.

HERE ARE ONLY A FEW OF THE COMMENTS I’VE HEARD,

He treated Tim Russert as an equal, he should have had him in a less equal setting. This President treats people as equals, It’s called being Presidential.

He made too much direct eye contact with Tim Russert, he shouldn’t have made Tim look so important. This President makes people feel important, it’s his nature to be respectful of others.

The President tapped his foot, it made him look weak. The President like all of us has some idiosyncrasies that show up from time to time. I think its called human-nature.

The President took to long to answer some of Tim’s questions, it made him look indecisive. That indicates to me it wasn’t a canned interview but rather it was spontaneous and unrehearsed.

The President didn’t answer the question about his being AWOL from the National Guard. He said and I quote “I was there, I got paid” how many ways can it be said?

The President didn’t answer any of the charges by the Democrats. He said and I quote “ It’s politics, there will be time for response later” how many ways can he say it?

These are but a few of the comments by Political Pundits. The only answer they care about is the one they’ve decided on.

It makes one wonder what is being taught in journalism schools these days? Are their no standards being applied? I didn’t take journalism in college, I hung out with some who did, as I recall they where some of the most principled, idealistic students in college. Somewhere between Ernie Pyle and Walter Cronkite jurnaliism changed, not for the better.

My assessment of this President, He’s a principled, straightforward man with the best of objectives. He’s neither a Slick Willy nor a Bumbling Al Gore. If one leaves out Law Degrees (in my opinion there not worth much) He holds the highest degrees (Master of Business) of any President in history with the exception of Woodrow Wilson, PhD. I can’t say I agree with all his programs but I’m sure he isn’t in agreement with all my views. That makes us even. One thing I know for sure, “He’s President and I’m not” . Now if we can just make the Democrats understand that.

Senator Kerry has been accused of having an affair with a young lady who has since left the Country. Senator Kerry has of course denied the story passing if off as a rightwing smear by Republicans. Matt Drudge is not a spokesman for the Republican Party. He is one of the Nations most through Investigative Reporters. Beware Senator, don’t argue with DNA or a Matt Drudge Report. Both are cast in stone and are in the 99.9 percentile range. Normally the Leftwing Media would give the good Senator a pass, I doubt this time they will. To the Leftwing Media almost any behavior is acceptable for a Liberal. Not when titillating sex is involved. This will be the new Janet Jackson moment lasting for weeks, even months probably through the election. Come clean Senator, tell us what you did and when you did it. Senator Kerry should have learned by now in Washington one can’t dine at two tables at the same time. Senator Kerry should have practiced the Atkins Diet for Politicians, cut out the crab’s (sex), be satisfied with the protein, (super rich wife).
