Is Liberalism A Virus Or A Cancer?
Dec 17, 2003

Liberal politics has become a virus and a cancer eating away at he Constitution. A Virus can be cured, Cancer is fatal. New laws are passed in each session of Congress, they flout the very spirit on the documents our forefathers spent so much thought, time, effort and blood perfecting. The Constitution guarantees certain rights, rights Congress and the Courts are taking from us. It is hardly noticeable to the average citizen. Those of us who are concerned are labeled troublemakers, malcontents. We are dismissed as being part of the fundamentalist right. I am willing to be labeled as such if I can make one person aware. It is time for America to wake up and smell the coffee, it will be to late, soon.

The Constitution is being miss-interpreted by Congress and the Courts, no one is challenging them. Before the twenty-seven amendments there are seven articles in the Constitution defining the responsibilities of the various departments of Government. There are three primary branches of Government, Exertive, Legislative and Judicial. The framers made each branch autonomous to assure checks and balances. Article one, defines the responsibilities of Congress, the House and Senate who are charged with passing laws directing the business of the Government. Article two defines the duties of the President who is charged with administering the Law passed by Congress. Article three, defines the powers of the Judiciary, they are charged with observing and arbitrating the law. Power not expressly assigned to the three branches of Government is deemed to be the sovereign right of the various States. The Constitution must have been divinely inspired, I doubt many men have that much insight.

There are twenty seven amendments in the Constitution each assures us of cretin rights. Freedom of religion. Included in that right is the right to practice religion without Government interference. The words “Separation of Church and State” doesn’t appear in the Constitution. Freedom of speech is under assault by the McCain-Feingold bill, reaffirmed by the Supreme Court. Six of the amendment guarantees the rights of the voters shall not be abridged. For Congress to assume the contributor is the culprit is fuzzy logic. Those accepting contributions should be the one’s rained in not the public. Oh silly me, Congress never pass laws pertaining to their own conduct. The Supreme Court has refrained from ruling on pornography yet they restrict the publics right to express a valid political view in print 60 day prior to an election. The Courts opinion regarding the McCain-Feingold bill is on the Internet, it contains twenty times the wording of the entire Constitution. Its so convoluted in legal language a novas has no way of understanding it’s meaning. There is no way this opinion was written by the Justices. It was written by an accumulation of liberal law clerks and even more liberal University Professors. Pressed I doubt the Justices could give a clear interpretation

I occasionally converse with younger people. I am amazed and somewhat disappointed at their lack of understanding and interest how their Government works. Politicians over the years have convinced people they shouldn’t discuss politics for fear of offending someone. At Universities Liberal Political Science is all that is taught. I’m not suggesting guns at forty paces but I do think if we are to learn anything from each other we must engage in conversation. An informed voter is the best protection against those who would sell our soles to the Devil for their fifteen minutes of fame. History tells us anyone with motivation can become a Tyrant, even an American.

The extent the Democrats are trying to discredit President Bush is shameful. It’s obvious there is a hatred that goes beyond the norm. In this President we have an honorable man who is devout in his beliefs Family, God and Country. There isn’t one shameful event in his conduct they can point to. On the other hand there is Bill Clinton, trailer park trash to put it mildly. Clinton is held up by many as a candidate for Saint-hood, I don’t get it ! All one need do is listen to the majority of Democrats. Hear what they are saying. Then remember they where in charge of Congress for nearly seventy years they made the rules, they structured the entitlements, they played God. They didn’t solve the problems then, how will they do it now? The problems the Democrats blame on George Bush he inherited for most part He is giving an outstanding performance in my opinion.

We need to eliminate this Liberal Cancer eating away at the political process. It can only be done through Term Limits of Congress. New representation will bring new ideas. Sometimes it’s harder to stay free than to get free. I remember a kinder, gentler America I hope some day we’ll return to those days.

This is my opinion, You from yours!
