New Definition of Left
July 11, 2003

Def Left Wing: To hate America and tax in every conceivable way possible. To use and argue any means to make govt as large and expensive as possible so that the few can be in power and distribute money as they see fit especially if it benefits them.

An article title read--- Warner Targets Internet Taxes, Taxes on Wealthy and Corps.

As soon as I read this title in an article by R.H. Melton Washington Post Staff Writer, Thursday, July 10, 2003 I knew he was or had to be a democrat. Well here we go again. Here is another IDIOT trying to get even more money from the people.

RICHMOND, July 10 -- Gov. Mark R. Warner (D) asked Republican lawmakers today to consider imposing taxes on Internet retail sales and higher taxes on wealthy individuals and corporations as the two sides launched the first overhaul of the Virginia tax code since the early 1900s.

First of all FOOL (and I mean Mark Warner) IM GOING TO SAY THIS ONCE!!! CORPS. DON’T PAY TAXES. PEOPLE DO --- YOU MORON !! WHAT DO YOU THINK A PLACE OF BUSINESS WHO GETS A RAISE IN TAXES IS GOING TO DO TO IT’S PRICES. WHAT A JERK !!! But you know what he knows this!! He just wants MORE GOVT CONTROL OVER YOUR MONEY!!!

Second I have never heard out of the mouth of any of these democrats “ instead of raising taxes lets cut spending” NO--- instead its where can we go to get more money. BUNCH OF FAT CAT WANNA BE BILLIONAIRES WHO DON’T LIVE BY THE LAWS THEY PREACH… I’M ANGRY !!!

Then this fool goes on to say -- "If there were ever a time that we need to put aside partisanship and . . . the normal things that divide us, now is that time," Warner told a new tax rewriting commission made up largely of GOP legislators.

WHY ?? Cause you wont get your way Mr. Democrat and you’re going to booo hooo your way and kick and scream if you don’t get to Screw the Public!!

"The system is not fair when citizens pay tax on purchases in stores but not on purchases through catalogues or over the Internet," Warner said in a position paper distributed to tax commission members.

What’s not Fair!!?? That some people are actually not having to pay taxes on something?? You mean the fact that most Americans are ALREADY PAYING ABOUT 40-60 PERCENT ISNT ENOUGH !!!

State Del. Leo C. Wardrup Jr. of Virginia Beach, a House Republican leader and member of the commission, needled Warner today about disclosing the details of his tax proposals well before the 2004 legislative session, which will vote on the tax code rewrite.

"We need your thoughts," Wardrup said. "Otherwise, we're wandering in the dark."

What do you mean need our thoughts!!!??

HERE’S A THOUGHT !!! HOW BOUT NO ---- YOU CRAZY BAS….!! Hows about a reduction in your spending.

How’s about a tax cut for a change. Why not let the people win for once !! Excerpt from an Email I got:

What else needs to be said, except this: "Remember when the '04 election comes around and it's time to vote!" We will get the same treatment as those currently drawing S.S. checks--being taxed on 85% of that money.

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month -- and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the federal government to "put away," you may be interested in the following:

Q: Which party took Social Security from an independent fund and put it in the general fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratic- controlled House and Senate.

Q: Which party put a tax on Social Security?

A: The Democratic Party.

Q: Which party increased the tax on Social Security?

A: The Democratic Party with Al Gore casting the deciding vote.

Q: Which party decided to give money to immigrants?

A: That's right; immigrants moved into this country and at 65 got SSI Social Security. The Democratic Party gave that to them although they never paid a dime into it.

Then, after doing all this, the Democrats turn around and tell you the Republicans want to take your Social Security.

And the worst part about it is, people believe it! 2004 Election Issue This must be an issue in "04".

SOCIAL SECURITY:

Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years. Our Senators and Congressmen &women do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it.

You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special plan for themselves. So, many years ago they voted in their own benefit plan.

In more recent years, no congressperson has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan.

For all practical purposes their plan works like this: When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die, except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments.

For example, former Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7,800,000.00 (that's Seven Million, Eight- Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275,000.00 during the last years of their lives. This is calculated on an average life span for each.

Their cost for this excellent plan is $00.00. Nada. Zilch. This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. YOU AND I PICK UP THE TAB FOR THIS PLAN. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the General Funds-our tax dollars at work!

From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into-every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our employer) - -we can expect to get an average $1,000 per month after retirement. Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000. monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator Bill Bradley's benefits!

Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.

That change would be to jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and Congressmen. Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us ... then sit back and watch how fast they would fix it.
