Being A Liberal Must Be Fun

We conservatives have it rough. We actually have to have our facts right. We'd better because anything we say will be greatly scrutinized, or at best ignored.

However, being a liberal means that you can spout off stupid uninformed opinions and it will be treated as gospel. If Ted Kennedy got on the floor of the senate and denounced the president for believing the earth was round the liberals in the press would gladly agree and the democrats in congress would nod in silent agreement.

Take the house minority leader Nancy Pelosi, please someone take her. Ok bad joke out of the way now. She denounced the president for incompetence. Ok, she is entitled to her opinion, however wrong ill-informed and stupid it is. Let's take a look. Two brutal regimes toppled, a dictator in prison. Yes, the fighting is still going on. But so what? Is terrorisat activities by islamofascists proof of incompetence in the adminastration? I guess by Congresswomans logic if Gore the terrorists would be kowtowing to American power and not so much as an angry sermon would coming out from a mosque.

But what the democrats have failed to understand is that every terrorist killed in fallujah is one that will never come to New York and kill Americans. While it is tragic that soldiers have died, that mothers and fathers have lost children, husbands and wives have lost spouses, they are soldiers doing their jobs and most are volunteering to do it again. It is never the desire of Americans to send their soldiers to die, we don't like war. But this war IS necessary. Terrorists just don't want our surrender they want our death. We are winning the war, but if you listen to pelosi and her ilk we are losing badly and being led by an imbecile who forced his way into the White House.

It is not only the war in which leftist rhetoric is over the top. Continual mantras of the worst economy since President Hoover. Yet the unemployment rate is 5.6% the same it was when president clinton wasr praised for having the greatest economy ever. President Bush's tax cuts have spurred economic growth to a pace much faster than during President Clintons term.

So apparently red hot economic growth and military success equal incompetence. So I guess to Nancy Pelosi recession and failure are brilliant? But wait. I have slipped into their logic. Just remember she'll never retract her statements, and never be asked to. And if Kerry wins in November, God help us all, and does precisly what President Bush is doing he will be heralded as the greatest President since FDR.

Must be nice to be a liberal.
