Mar 18, 2004 Taliban and Saddam Hussein down. More regimes to go. So much goes unreported by the media. Not wanting to take the time to report it or not wanting to actually make it look like U.S. policy is the right thing to do. So much of the activities in Iran and in Syria have gone unnoticed. The trouble in Iran is all over a holiday. New Year Nourooz, and Red Wedensday Fire Festival. Basically Lunar new years ever and new year. The fire festival is celebrated with bonfires on the last evening before the new year. The problem? The thugs in Tehran have long hated and outlawed this celebration deeming it unislamic. The Iranian people have had enough. In Tehran women were seen publicly taking off their headscarves and encouraging others to do so. Crowds beat up the regime supporters.(which by the way the muscle for the mullahs is now mostly arab, not Iranian. Palestinians, Saudis, and Egyptians make up a large part of the enforcers.) In Yazd 8000 protestors gathered and attacked regime supporters. In Booshehre a memeber of the revoulutionary guard is reported dead. In Shiraz government agents taking pictures of protestors were attacked and their cameras destroyed. Instead of trying to negotiate with nonexsistent "moderates" in the regime, the government should declare regime change the goal in Iran. No invasion would be needed. Once the Iranian people found out we are on their side the mullahs won't be around long. This terrorist government, that is desperately trying to get nuclear weapons, doesn't need to be in charge. I've never liked soccer, but it started a riot in Syria that has lasted for days now. It started when Kurds were waving Pictures of George W. Bush and Arabs were screaming pro saddam slogans. All mayhem broke loose. Government buildings are now under attack and the troops are fighting with the protestors. (Funny that the liberation of Iraq is popular with the liberated and the people who want liberated. Only the baathist goons and Arabs obsessed with humilation aren't happy Saddam is gone, that and the French of course. One more point: If this was a war for oil then why are gas prices so high? More oil on the market would mean lower prices. Kinda kills the entire lefts argument) Syrias government is just as murderous and repressive as the Iraqi government was and like the Iraqi government it helps terrorist groups. Hizboallah gets support from syria and a safe haven to operate out of. Why not regime change in Damascus? Terrorist groups across the middle east would be crippled. Lets keep taking the war to them. We must keep up the fight. ------------ Email Craig Chamberlain: craig_chamberlain@hotmail.com Tell a friend about this site! ------------ |
