I, like most people, have not seen Mel Gibsons movie the passion of Christ, although I plan to. So what is all the fuss over anyway?

So an actor wanted to make a film about the crucifixion of Jesus. So, what's the big deal?

The ADL claims that it will incite new acts of anti semitism. Now let me be perfectly clear. Anti semitism is ugly, brutal, disgusting and has no place in any society. But the notion that this movie will cause anti semitism, come on! Note to the media and the ADL: most anti semites, are on the left, a group not known for its religious fervence, and muslims. A group by and large that is anti semitic no matter what hollywood makes. People that commit acts of violence against jews are already that way. Jew haters are still going to hate jews, and the movie will have no bearing on that.

The media, although it has not said so explicitly, hates this movie. Why? Because it doesn't portray Christians as a bunch of weirdos. If someone takes a statue of the virgin mary and covers it in dung or puts a crucifix in a jar of urine it's art. For some reason they don't care if Christians are offended. But if someone makes a movie about the crucifixion all of the sudden it's anti semitism. To hear the media talk next its the renewal of the holocaust and the revocation of the first amendment.

IT'S A MOVIE! That is all. It is not a call to violence or theocracy. The way the media snickers behind its hand when talking about Christians that take their faith seriously is insulting enough. Now were accused of wanting to hunt down Jews.

The militantly secular media created this controversy to try to portray Christians who want to see it as fanatics. Whenever Christians find something offensive were told snippily to just ignore it.That if our unsophisticated little minds can't handle it we such just not look at it. For some reason the secuarlists just can't seem to do that this time around.

They say the word Christian the way most people say pedophile, or mass murderer or terrorist. Lets send a message. Let's watch the movie and manage not to attack anyone.
