Watching Liberals Squirm
Dec 18, 2003

It's entertaining watching democrats argue among themselves. It's like watching two bullies at school fight one another, you don't care who wins the fight you just hope they destroy one another. It's happening now to the democrats. Liberals are launching attack ads on Howard Dean saying he has no chance to win the election because he has no foreign policy expierence. This won't stop Dean supporters, and I am amazed the democrats just realized that Dean will go down quicker than a jihadi protestor throwing rocks at a tank.

It is truly an amazing thing when Hillary Clinton is described as a "moderate" that is how she is being portrayed in the media. Moderate compared to what? Stalin? Pol Pot? Face it she is as liberal as Dean is and that's why she can't stand him, they are fighting for the hearts and minds of the same people. Dean is going after the people who are still bitter that the Soviet Union lost the cold war and communist nations have ditched marxism. Hillary wants a piece of the pie too, to get her ready for her run in 2008.

I wonder what the left would do if Hillary lost her senate seat in 2006 to Rudy Giuliani? How would they manage to spin that into a bad thing for the GOP? I hope Rudy runs. I would love to see the panic in the DNC if that race were to happen.

Liberals caught in their own trap. For decade liberals have pushed "anti discrimination" laws on colleges and universities to hijack freedom of speech. Now it is coming back around to bite them. The Solomon amendment says that universities will lose their funding if they forbid military recruiters from going on campuses. Liberals have no problem with title IX and speech codes, that are used to attack conservatives, now they find themselves in the crosshairs. Their response? Sue of course. They know that always have a near monopoly on the judiciary.

Senator Breaux(D-La) has announced that he will not run in 2004. He is one of maybe 2 or 3 democrats who actually deserve the term moderate. (I believe his rating from the ACU was in the high 40's, that's higher than some republicans)I may now have to change my senate predictions. I had been fairly confident of a GOP sweep of southern senate seats, now it looks like the dems will manage to hold onto the seat in Louisiania.I guess they aren't ready for the 21st century yet and still vote democrat consequently. Who knows with Bush on the ticket we might get lucky and win Breauxs seat.

Liberals bring this all on themselves. They don't change with the times and stick with progressivism that is a century old, believe that taxes will solve everything, and think if we just beg enough the French will condenscend to help us. With brilliant ideas like that it's no wonder the Republicans control Washington.
