The Truth On The War On Terror
Dec 9, 2003

I am, quite honestly, sick and tired of liberals screaming with rage that we are losing the war against the terrorists. We have been at war for over two years and in that time we have taken the Islamo Facist Taliban out of power, and that thug Hussein is probably hiding in a basement in Tikrit cowering in fear every time he hears an American soldier go by.

On September,11 three thousand Americans were murdered by Islamo Facist terrorists. We looked vulnerable to them, we had fears of being bogged down in quagmire, after quagmire. Liberals warned that attacking Afghanistan, or Iraq would cause the entire muslim world to rise agianst us, while I admit we won't win any popularity contests over there, so far no mass uprising. There were people who feared that this would turn into a clash of civilizations, Islam v. the West. It was feared that we would suffer many more terrorist attacks on our home soil, much worse than what happened on 9-11-01.

Yet here we are two years later and no terrorist attacks on American soil. We are breaking up al qeada. Bin Laden is either dead or living in a cave somewhere, the group is on the run, and we are depriving them of their finances.

The Taliban are out of power and Afghanistan is no longer one big terrorist training camp, for bin ladens facist warriors.

Saddam Hussein who killed hundreds of thousands of his own people, not to mention Iranians and Kuwaitis is now out of power and no longer running a nation and killing who he wants at a whim. We have lost a few hundred soldiers, tragic as that is it is an amazing military success. People feared that we would suffer casualties within the thousands in Afghanistan alone.

Yes, Yes the liberals are saying. But aren't we failing in our occupation and reconstruction? Name one reconstruction that went quickly. Wheter reconstructing the south after the civil war, or Japan and Germany after world war 2 or Afghanistan and Iraq today, all have taken time. Reconstruction is still going on in the Balkans nearly a decade after the fighting stopped in Bosnia. Reconstruction in Iraq is going remrkably well. Afghanistan will take longer as the infrastructure was decimated by decades of fighting.

Never mind that an overwhelming number of Afghans and Iraqis are optimistic about their futures, no to hear the unanimous course on the left, we are failing worse than Vietnam, we have the worst economy since Herbery Hoover, and they want Bush to be able to snap his fingers and rebuild to countries into working liberal democracies. The terrosist are on the run, and the Iraqi insurgency has no chance unless we do something stupid like elect Howard Dean.

Yeah, were really failing. With all his failures and stupidities I am suprised we haven't done the smart thing and impeached him. Aren't you embarrased that we have an idiot in charge. Or is that an idiot trying to win the democratic nomination?
