War On Terror and More
Oct 28, 2003

Well, here I go again. Where to start? Well I guess I will start with familiar territory and go straight to Iran. The Iranians are promising a lot. Hmm... I still don't believe them. I guess I have a problem believing anyone who says it is a religious duty to kill. They are promising to allow the U.N. more access to the nuclear bomb making plants(come on, they aren't enriching uranium for the fun of it) I sense a game of cat and mouse on the Hussein model. I just keep hoping and praying that the mullahs are overthrown very soon. Speaking of Iran we may have a problem in Afghanistan, besides the obvious ones.(I plan on writing a full article about afghanistan soon) According to a news story on e-arianna.com the Iranians are funding 44 infrastructe projects in western Afghanistan, specifically in Herat and in the surrounding area. Now I am sure this all comes with a price. They build mosques, that preach their version of Islam, they build roads, so their goods can enter Afghanistan easier and help the Iranian economy. They build schools so the education in that area is on the Iranian model. They help farmers so they remember who helped them. We were brilliant in ridding Afghanistan of the taliban now we are dragging our feet in that country. We need more soldiers in Afghanistans cities. I am not usually a fan of peacekeeping. My normal philosophy is that "it's their country let them deal with it" but they can't. Foreign meddling(not us), warlords, insurgents, a huge drug trade, would be enough for a strong country. They have been at war for 24 years I think they deserve some help. But what is happening instead. The Germans send 450 soldiers to the quiet city of Kunduz. More troops are needed in Kabul, and soldiers are needed in the other major cities for stability.

Alan Colmes of Fox News "Hannity and Colmes" has just written a book asserting that Bill Clinton will go down as one of the greatest presidents in the history of the U.S. Now Rich Lowry has written a book about Clinton and on article on nationalreview.com about colmes's book that is much better written than anything I write so I will be brief.Clinton, if he is lucky, will make it somewhere in the middle of the pack when history is done judging him. He DID NOT create the economic good times of the 1990's and I won't even get into his foreign policy mess.

Well, now where to? I guess I can spare a few lines about Iraq. It just seems to me that this whole thing is overblown. 95% of the country is stable. You almost never hear about problems outside of fallujah, Tikrit, or Baghdad. These terrorists, it seems to me, are in their death throws. It is one last hurrah! for Baathism and islamofacsim. I wonder what the liberal press will compalin about in Iraq when the situation is stable in under a year?

One last item. According to news stories in arabic newspapers the city of Khartoum was in mass hysteria when rumors flew that men who had shaken the hands of foreigners had lost, well a very important part of the male anatomy. Check memri.org if you don't believe me.Pretty sad that in the 21st century such nonsense can still exsist.

That's all for me.
