Aug 26, 2003 With Saddam Hussein out of power and Iraq safe from Batthist rule, the axis of evil is down a member. I think we need to look at candidates to take its place. Saudi Arabia: This kingdom is first on my list.It is time we change the status of Saudi Arabia from U.S. ally to terrorist state. The kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a threat to the civilized world. The official sect of Islam in Saudi Arabia is Wahhabism a puritanical, intolerant and militatn faith. The Saudis have frustrated terror investigations. In 1995 after the U.S. mission to the Saudi national guard was bombed the suspects were quickly executed before the FBI could interrogate them. In 1996 after the bombing of the khobar towers the Saudis frustrated the U.S. investigation, almost certainly to cover for the Iranians with whom the kingdom was trying to forge closer ties with. Wahhabism makes Saudi Arabia backward and violent. It was a wahhabi who ordered planes to fly into the World Trade Center. Wahhabism teaches hatred of non wahhabis, even non muslims. The kingdoms biggest export is not oil, but wahhabism. It funds radical religious schools, Saudi charities are a haven for islamic militants. Some examples of wahhabi crulety and backwardness: Slavery was not abolished in Saudi Arabia until 1962, even though many foreigners live in a de facto state of slvery. The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Bin Baz issued a fatwa in 1966 saying that the world was flat. When a girlsschool caught fire, the religious police chased the girls back into a burning building because the girls were not properly veiled. This is Saudi Arabia, our ally. Saudia Arabia is the bank for islamic terrorism. It's only keeping the country off the state terrorist list is oil. We should recognize that the country is a terrorist state. As for the oil we should get it somewhere else, like Alaska. But wait, leftists are afraid that might hurt some arctic mosquitoes. So in the meantime the wahhabist state continues to spread the very thing that we are trying to counter Syria: This is another nation run by a batthist thug, so Iran and North Korea would be very comfrtable with Syria joing the group. Syria is occupying Lebanon and free and soverign nation. it supports hezboallah, and is suspected of sending fighters into Iraq in order to attack coalition forces. The Palestinian Territories: This isn't a terroists state, it is a terrorist camp posing as a state. Yasser Arafat is a bloody handed terrorist, who has never given up on violence. Hamas, Hizboallah, Islamic Jihad, the Al aqsa martyrs brigade all operate freely within the territories. This should be considered a big supplier of terrorism. Those are the candidates.
