Aug 18, 2003 You are a democrat. If you just say it you're going to win for sure. Not that most people can't figure that out. I mean, you hired Warren Buffett as you're economic advisor. Why not hire Kim Jong Il? Or Hugo Chavez? This is a man that thinks the massive economic problems that face California can be solved by tripling taxes. You're pro homosexual marriage and adoption, you're pro gun control, you're pro abortion. Any shred of conservatism that was once in you died. Cause of death: spending too much time with a Kennedy.You're the Lincoln Chaffee of the west coast. California DOES need cleaned up but are you the man for the job? What are you going to do. Are you going to cut spending, that is out of control. Probably not. Anytime a politician starts whining about the children I take all of my money and stick it under my mattress.No you're fiscal conservatism will be buried by you're social liberalism. You, like all politicians, will have worthless pet projects that you want government to fund. They are placebos. They make you feel better but they don't do anything. You're a witch doctor when a surgeon is needed. Now you have Rob Lowe on your team. What is he going to bring to your team? Other than bad acting and the ability to get underaged girls into his hotel room that is? When you have pro tax hike and big government millionaires and the hollywood left jumping to sign onto your campign you know that you are a leftist as well. I suppose you could pacify the few conservatives in California by promising not to raise taxes, but with the crowd you're running with these days I doubt it.Seeing what you stand for now you could at least do the honest thing and admit that you are not really a republican.
