Catch Up.
Aug 24, 2003

I realize a few of my columns end with, "Tell ya the rest tomorrow..."

So...I kind-of left you hanging ....not knowing what happened at the end of the date with the Boston-flirt.

And I didn't tell you who the amazing person was when I walked into the bar, the day I desperately needed to find an interesting person to interview for the paper's quickly approaching deadline.....since the Compassion-less editor had said not to bother coming back without it....

I also didn't tell ya.....well..the Boston- flirt's real name....you would know it...

Now I don't know if I should go back and tell you those things or keep on going from this point...because A LOT HAS HAPPENED OVER THE PAST WEEK.

So how do I catch you up?

Let's see..there was the murder story I covered...that wrapped right into my real life....A lot to tell about that...

A little this and that to say about my ex...who is the most handsome man who ever walked the face of the earth.

But I covered a concert last night, where I met the sweetest girl in a wheel chair. What she said broke my heart......would love to tell you....

OH, and wow, what the Compassion-less editor did last Friday night......gotta tell ya that.

Oh, and never told you about my dinner with Laughing-bear, the big, simling, nice guy who used to work with me.

But at the time, the space in my head was already occupied rent free...by the Boston-flirt.

That is.. ...UNTIL....something happened with the Boston-flirt..which I also have to tell you too....

Oh....and the date with The City-lawyer, who had been watching me at an election day polling site two weeks ago.....

Reporters are not allowed to go inside polling places..so I was outside all day long in the driving rain....looking for people's opinions on a hotly debated issue....

When it was time for me to run to my car...this stranger...who I call the City-lawyer, shocked me, by suddenly running along side me to my car, smiling at me and covering me with his umbrella ....so I could stay dry, despite the heavy rain.

He jogged beside me, with is large black umbrella, laughing and confiding, "I watched you work. You were very nice to everyone. Even egardless of their opinion or attitude. And some people even were rude to you and you just turned their attitude around....And you worked hard all day, without even knowing anyone was watching....I was very impressed with you.... I would like to take you out to dinner"......

As I opened my car door, he stood beside my open door, leaning over...so that the umbrella extened over me, while he became drenched with rain... he said, "Well? I am waiting for your answer.....I would so like to take you out....and he gave me his card...Call me, insisted....really ..really....call me..."

I will have to tell you about it..and everything else..but it's getting late..and I am in the newsroom...and have lots to write about...tell ya some more tomorrow.
