Homogenized Earth
July 22, 2003

My discussions with Vietnamese, Mexicans, both legal and illegal, and with people who have lived in California and Texas and other porous- border areas, indicates that there are a lot of people who want to come to America, perhaps more numerically than at any time in history, and that the country is unlikely to be able to accommodate so many. And with so many people crossing borders (look at all the Middle East Muslims in Great Britain, France, etc. Look at all the Hispanics in the USA! Heck, the USA has exported melting-pot-ism around the globe.

The world will become, in time, more homogeneous, WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT!

Therefore, the real solution to preserving the American language and culture is not to keep bringing more people into the greatest land of capitalistic democracy, but to EXPORT CAPITALISTIC DEMOCRACY to the rest of the world! That way they can enjoy the benefits of freedom, hard work, property rights, etc., in their own country.

The whole world will become--sorry, guys--more like the USA in time, and that ain't bad.

Now, to get even more esoterically hypothetical, could the ultimate plan of George W. Bush and his administration be the SPEEDING UP OF THIS PROCESS? Rather than wait out all the terrorism that grows when old cultures are threatened, just get on with the business of wiping out the extremists of any stripe who are resisting capitalism and democracy.

This might explain why we aren't bumping heads with China right now: They are heading down the democratic capitalist road on their own! No need to push too hard. Where mud huts were just a few years ago, now there are growing cities, and a growing middle class.

And it is all due to the--EEK! Horrors!-- American corporations who are taking the risk to build plants there, employ people, and create wealth.

Hooray for corporations! Hooray for the USA!
