July 10, 2003 We patiently await the arrival of our new
baby and try to plan for everything, yet
inevitably we all run into various unexpected
situations. At some point, we all need a little
advice. We have often heard parents complain
that children do not come with a manual. I fear
though, that the problem is actually that there
are too many manuals out there- with
opposing advice. Thousands of books,
magazine articles, internet sites and more all
claim to have the answers that work. Sometimes important questions pop up
and not everyone has the time to do all the
research to find the solution. Well that’s where
I come in. I would like to invite you to e-mail
me with your concerns as a parent. Though I
do no have all the answers, what I will do is
find them for you. I’ll sift through as much of
the available advice as possible and offer the
best solutions based on what I know and
learn. I plan to consult experts as well as
experienced parents to get a compilation of
ideas. In some cases, I will offer several
different possible solutions. All children grow
and learn in different ways, and no one
knows them like their parents. The other
reason why I will do this is because I don’t
want anyone to feel like there is one solution
that works. What works for one of your
children, might not help the other one. If the
advice happens to conflict with your child, I
want you to know that there are always more
options to try. Just send me your concerns, and I will do
my best to respond to each one. Useless-
knowledge.com will publish my useful
information for you in the “Life” section. I usually write articles geared towards
younger children, but I accept questions about
pregnancy, babies, children of all ages, and
any other family relationships. Want information on healthy eating during
pregnancy or which drugs are safe to take and
which ones are not? What to do about colicky
babies? Want to know how to get your child
into baby modeling? Did you have an
argument with your mate or your mates
mother? Let me know, and I’ll do what I can to
help. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
