How Astrology Affects Your Children
Aug 16, 2003

Have you ever wondered how two children can grow up in the same family with the same education under the same rules and turn out completely opposite? I believe that the answer lies in the individual astrological sign and karma.

Jung believed that astrology has a great deal to contribute to psychology, and he even used it in his own practice.

Many parents don’t pay attention to their children’s signs, but it just might have more of an impact than we all thought, and knowing this can make parenting a little easier. In fact, astrologer and author Chrissie Blaze learned that the sign of your child can determine everything from what they like to eat to how they interact with others. She uses astrology as a spiritual and psychological guide to raise her own children effectively.

After reading her book The Baby’s Astrologer I feel that we believe many of the same philosophies on raising children. I will share of few of these ideas here.

Choosing a Name- Names play a vital role in shaping and defining individuals. You might spend months deciding on the perfect name, or you might always know which name will best suit your baby. Either way, when you hear it, you just know that it’s the one, and it is never a random incident. The name’s numerology can reveal certain life lessons that your baby needs to learn on his karmic path.

Your Baby Chooses You as a Parent- The incarnating soul chooses its parents according to karmic lessons that it needs to learn in order to advance in life. The baby also chooses the exact minute to arrive in this world. Every passing minute can make a huge difference in personality, and each soul enters the body when the time is right.

Create a Loving Environment- Your baby has just experienced the trauma of birth and needs the most attention in the first six weeks. Making the transition from the warm womb to this chaotic world can be difficult. Surround your baby with a calm and peaceful environment so the soul can flourish and blossom.

Nourish the Soul- Care for your child with love, and when in doubt, follow your natural intuition. If something you are doing doesn’t feel right, you don’t have to listen to what other people tell you you should do. Go with your inner voice, and teach your children to do the same. Guide them towards being kind to others and making decisions based on integrity and wisdom.

For the next twelve columns, I will write specific information based on the individual signs. Each one will give insight to the unique idiosyncrasies that your baby possesses. It will serve as a guide to the preferences of certain habits including eating, sleeping, learning, socializing, speaking and motor skills.

Stay tuned. And in the meantime, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me via e-mail.
