She Devil, Part One
Dec 17, 2003

This one is for all the guys out there that have ever been hurt by a woman. Don't get me wrong, I love women. Face it guys, without women, we'd be lost. It was a woman who encouraged me to push myself and become a success. It is a woman who tells me everyday that I'm doing a good job. And it's a woman who keeps me warm at night. This article is not about bashing women in general, it's about bashing one woman in general. This has been festering in me for quit some time, and now it's time to get this off my chest.

I started dating this "She Devil" in 1993. We've been friends for a long time, so I thought I knew her very well. Boy, was I wrong. I should have known from the start there would be trouble when she asked if she could stay over one night, since she doesn't get along too well with her Mother, the senior "She Devil" It all started going bad from that night on. For the rest of this article I'll call her "SD"

So, SD's first rule of having a relationship was to have a man who works. I fit the bill. I've been working for my family for twenty years, six days a week, and never call out sick. That went well for about six months until winter came. You see, we are in the winter business. At the time we were a pretty good size snowplow contractor, with many accounts and many pieces of equipment. Since then we have scaled back a bit. Enough about me, I just wanted to set the stage, and tell you just how busy I was. Now, SD didn't work, not for ten years, I guess she didn't want to, and to tell you the truth, she didn't have to. I thought it would be nice to have my girl home and not have to work, the way my Mother and Grandmother were. She could be a homemaker, and I was fine with that. Until I realized she didn't even want to do that.

I'd work ten to twelve hours a day, six days a week, and would come home pretty tired. But I'd still have a smile on my face, no matter what. She enjoyed that, and loved the money coming in to our house. For the first few weeks she tried cooking, but to be honest with you, she couldn't cook. That was fine too, I know a lot of people, both men and women, who can't even boil an egg. I gave her credit, she tried. So went out for a quick bite. Well, the going out to eat thing was a seven day event after that. I understood that she couldn't cook, so why couldn't we just get some takeout? There was a reason for that, which I will get to in Part #2 next week. I'm not tooting my own horn here, this girl dragged me through the coals, and you will see next week just how vicious and demanding this SD really was. I was raised to respect women, and that is just what I did. Think of me what you will, but I tried...........
