Mar 30, 2004 Native Californian and East Bay resident and musician Nikki Carlyle has made two dreams come true at once. This Sunday, Nikki will be appearing and performing on a local show entitled Bay Sunday hosted by Barbara Rodgers. Nikki began dabbing the art of song writing in 1984 after seeing Pink Floyd's The Wall. She began writing poetry and then turned to music shortly thereafter. She wanted to follow in the footsteps of Pink Floyd until she heard "Mama He's Crazy" by the Judds and found country music her music of choice for writing and singing. Her first CD in which she wrote, performed and sang was released in 2001. In 2002 Nikki contacted Tower Records in Concord, California to ask if they did consigment and was pleased to hear they did. She had 5 CDs in the store and sold two. She then contacted Tower Records in Emeryville, California and got CDs in there as well. She is now living two dreams at once this week. Not only is she performing on TV but she will be interviewed by someone she has admired for many years Barbara Rodgers. Barbar Rodgers is news anchor for a local TV station KPIX in the San Francisco Bay Area. Nikki is hoping this will lead to more opportunities for her and her music. ------------ Email Nikki Hoskin: Jesstears@sbcglobal.net Tell a friend about this site! ------------ |
