Law and Disorder
Mar 23, 2004

I am hooked on Law and Order. I have seen every episode and for the most part that means I have seen them five, six, no wait seven or more times. If you do not believe me, just ask me what channels and times Law and Order is on and I can tell you. My life is Law and Order. Why?

The first thing that comes to mind is that the show really is filmed in New York City. Very few shows today are filmed on location. NYPD Blue is and so is Law and order. Most shows based in New York shoot outside shots of people leaving and entering buildings and then they go back to Hollywood and shoot the inside shots. Boring.

Law and Order is real. The people on there have problems and they work them out just like in real life. The female L.T. has ad to sue to because someone else was promoted and she wasn't. Lenny's daughter was killed by a drug dealer. Wrongly accused people sometimes do go to jail, while the bad guys get to go free. Now that is the "real thing" folks.

With all of the various Law and Order shows -- SVU and Criminal Intent and the original (sounds like KFC) -- my nights are full except during basketball season. Professional basketball is another case of Law and disorder, especially since it appears that the season is about 8 or 9 months long. When does it end? My nights, home alone watching Law and Order used to be great. Nobody to bother me, I could watch it while sitting in my skivvies, belching and burping, eating and drinking. what a great life.

But all that has changed. I made a big mistake. My mistake was introducing Law and Order to my girlfriend. So instead of sitting at home and watching the show, we have to have a "date" and watch the show. No more gas, no more nachos, no more of sitting around in the old skivvies enjoying show after show.

And now she is hooked on Law and Order. And her biggest question about the whole show is what is that sound? Bung-bung.

When does basketball season begin?
