Feb 17, 2004 Man and Woman? What does the regular guy like me have to look to, to honor, to believe in? I believe in God, my God, my own kind of God. What I also believe in is my Constitution. The Constitution of the United States that says I can believe in God, whatever and whoever and however I want to. I see that same Constitution being destroyed, ripped to shreds by every non- believer that walks this wonderful country. They walk freely and without contempt. They enjoy the freedoms of this wonderful country yet they work their hardest to tear down everything it stands for. Can I believe in truth, honesty, valor, loyalty and commitment and believe also that this is how our country is supposed to be? Can I believe in these things and stand by and watch courts make laws; yes courts make the law. That is what is happening, just look at California and Massachusetts. I read the ORIGINAL Constitution of the United States of America to say that States, Senate, Congress make laws; indeed it really says THE PEOPLE, you and me, MAKE THE LAWS. That is not happening. Courts, instead of being the checks and balances of the laws, are making the laws, lawmakers elected by us, THE PEOPLE, are too afraid to take back the power we give them. No, they give it to the courts and instead of interpreting the laws made BY THE PEOPLE, they, the courts, decide to change the law, make new laws, and even TELL the lawmakers what laws to make. Look at the gay marriage problem in Massachusetts. The COURT has told the state YOU WILL make a law by a certain date. This is not what the state constitution says; this is NOT what the Constitution of the United States says. Where did this power come from? I hear the people saying everywhere I walk, everywhere I sit and have dinner, everywhere I go have a beer after work, we want God in the Pledge of Allegiance, we want God in the national motto, “IN GOD WE TRUST”. I hear the people saying everywhere I work, play, and traverse; marriage is between a MAN AND A WOMAN. Who is listening to us? Who is hearing better than 90% of the AMERICAN PEOPLE! Like every other human being, gay men and women have their God given right to live, to prosper, and to make their way in American society. What they do not have the right to do is change what that society is. From time memorial, men and women have built the great societies. Men and women, standing together, living together, bearing fruit, the child, the future of every society, have made this world evolve to what it has become. Most, I’m sorry to say not all, only most, reading this would say that man with dog is wrong, man with horse is wrong, woman with animal; horse, dog, pig, whatever is wrong. Yet some of those same people would say, man with man and woman with woman is right. Why? How? What makes it right? The very same thing that makes it wrong with animal makes it wrong between man and man and woman and woman. It’s not the natural way of life; it is not how the universal “man” continues on into decades and into millenniums. Bottom line – let’s stop what is not right. Let’s make the country we believe in the country it should be. Let’s put man and woman back on the pedestal it should be, the basis of life, the true meaning of life. The way life continues. Man and woman married, bearing children are what keeps us the universal “man” alive, continuing, able to reach new goals, able to prosper. Don’t let some judge, mayor or politician change what we know is right. Take back the power of the people, the power we have as true Americans. Say NO to courts making laws and to mayors disobeying laws. Don’t hurt your fellow “man.” Don’t let your fellow “man” take advantage of you either. Put God back in our national motto, our Pledge of Allegiance and most of all put God back in marriage.
