The Year of the Boring

So far this year, the year 2004, not much exciting has happened. Maybe it's me and I am finally jaded after all of these years, but from a cultural sense of all things being compared, its boring; and this is an election year.

The biggest sporting event itself was boring, a major yawn fest. the periphrial events were more interesting than what the encompassed. The Democratic candidate selection process has already become more stagnant than any marsh or swamp.

There are stories and events happening around the world, but these have been going on already. Has any dictator invaded a country, no. North Korea has been appeased so nothing there. No, what we are being bombarded with is if G.W. really showed up for drill or not. Is this the best 2004 has to offer, friends I think so. I think that we have finally become bored with events and nothing evokes the same emotion it once did.

Little girls being killed and its page 2 or 3 news (yawn) coruption and chaos 'B' section. It's boring out there. The land of Media n is a barren waste with dead brush and dirt as far as the eye can see. Unless you love the desert, it's a boring place. And this is an election year.
