Sept. 30, 2004 I was contemplating the increased cost of energy and just wondered what would happen if politics and governmental regulatory control over my life were eliminated. Would it ease the cost of my yearly needs of precious energy to run my electricity and heat? Cooling isn't necessary where I live. After a brief thought with any lack of struggle in coming up with the proper answer I concluded that yes, it would ease it greatly. For me to have come up with that conclusion I had to of course evalutate my immediate environment. I live in a deep valley high up in the mountains of Colorado with a large creek in my back yard running free and quite rapid year round. My front yard is quiet short since most of it shoots straight up 2000ft skyward in the form of a sheer cliff. The valley I live in is only one half mile wide so creates a natural vortex for the winds to continually sweep through it. In my evaluation I had to add what I presently do in meeting the laws, and do but gotta make it short and the laws short me and all in this valley. I would love to expand but am limited in words. Just say we are screwed. The concerned goverment officials and our environmental protectors decided that coad and wood polluted the air to a degree that they deemed unsafe during the peak times of need. Other environmental protectors decided that taking firewood would deplete the domiciles of questionable endangered species. (I thought I was the only endangered species up here). Well as I said I'm limited so here goes. I have a creek, a sun that shines 315 days a year and wind that I can't use because of regulations and yet the left and liberals won't let me use wood and coal and chastise the companies that provide those energies that they limit me to. Go figure. I could write a book on this topic. ------------ About the author: I am a self-employed private investigator with a background in law enforcement and military. I served in both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army and in law enforcement rose in ranks from patrolman to investigator to deputy chief of police and acting chief of police. When in the Army I served as a (97F) psyops specialist where I was tasked to write and produce material in all media formats for enemy consumption. I live in a quaint little valley in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with a creek full of trout in my back yard so when I am not working or writing, I am chasing that elusive giant trout that taunts me. If I ever catch it I will throw it back to try and catch it again. Visit: http://ROCKYMTNPI.home.att.net Email: ROCKYMTNPI@worldnet.att.net Tell a friend about this site! ------------ |
